So there's no chance in hell City would sell Alvarez with Haaland's health in question, least of all not for £60M, that's peanuts money for a player like Alvarez

I don't think Gomez got enough game time. I think if he got more time maybe on the wing or something he would have maybe been able to show what he was about. He definitely had potential, I just don't think he got to play to his strengths but was happy to play for City when he got the chance wherever.

Totally agree but now that we've got Gvardiol, that really was the end of Gomez at City. I believe City have a 30% sell on clause and I think we'll make some more money on him down the line.

I wouldn't accept anything less than £80M for him. He's a serial winner, gets you GA, he got 30+ GA last season, how many strikers guarantee that? Not many. When the likes of Hojland from Utd cost £75M with 6 goals to his name then we'd be disrespecting our own player if we ask for less than that for a serial winner who has a long contract. Here's how I'd structure it: PL club=£100M+... Outside the PL=£75M-£85M, I think he'll stay though because I don't see anyone paying the money City would want, clubs seem to be very cautious with all these new rules in place

It's just a popularity contest, everyone knows Halland for that year should of won it. A young boy scored tons of goals in the hardest league in the world and won everything as well as in Europe. I dont think City goes after the premier league if they don't have a pretty convincing case against the prem.. I believe City are playing 4D chest here and this is another play as they've always wanted an independent regulator and are now exposing how incompetent and ill-equipped the league is at running and regulating itself.. It's actually a brilliant play.. But I think they risk additional reputation damage without feeling pretty convinced that they have a case to argue

KDB should have the biggest statue ever made at the Etihad. He is by far the best player we have had at the Etihad. You can judge this from how many man-of-the-match performances he earned over his career. I think he is just behind Giggs but has played fewer games. His stats are unbelievable and he has had some of the biggest big match moments in our clubs history. As good as Silva was, he is nowhere near KDBs level.

I've still got fond memories of David Silva. I think I said when Silva left he was the best but KdB wasn't too far behind and just needed 2-3 more good seasons to eclipse him. If he stays next season, he'll definitely be ahead of Silva for me.

He is an icon but my esteem for KDB is because he has had so many big match moments. His stats are incredible and no other player even comes close. He has scored more goals and had more assists in a shorter period than Silva. Its because Silva was such a great player that my esteem for KDB is so high.

Even though that would feel unfair, it's what's been done in football almost since its inception. Liverpool were formed simply to make money and were pumped full of cash to win the league. Arsenal weren't called the Bank of England club for nothing, Jack Walker bought the league for Blackburn, Ferguson broke the transfer record loads of times. It's only when the so called big clubs couldn't compete that these rules have come about.

This suing is about Man City feeling oppressed apparently. Yea well all premier league clubs agree to the rules. Feel like Man City are acting like a petulant child. Man City are not an oppressed club. They have one of the best manager, a great stadium, have player of the year, 100 million pound subs and play good football. If anything this suing damages them. It diminishes the admiration stirred by their football, it alienates most other clubs, it harms the premier league which should be about the sport but has become much more about the business. Some of the stuff City are pushing seems a little bit far fetched. But it ties the PL up in more knots. I prefer to have fair market value for sponsorship deals but the 'big' clubs pushed this through as they were worried about Newcastle being able to challenge. When the big money comes from being in the CL, and there's only four places available, some of those big clubs miss out and can't easily challenge for the title. Utd, Chelsea, Spurs all outside the CL next season. They can't allow a financially strong Newcastle or Villa to push them even further away from the top prizes.
