Loving the build-out. Working on getting mine set up. Gonna try that Corbin seat. Really looking for something that can run 500+mile day trips. Great video! Hope the trip goes well. After rewatching, did you like the stock Battlewings that look to be installed?

Ok. Many bloggers show their upgrades at some kind of shops. Do You own the shop, or do You rent time in the shop, maybe it is a club's shop. How is it working?

I just picked up a PDM 60, and I’m excited to install it on my T7, though I have to admit, I’m a bit green when it comes to wiring stuff on the bike. The circuit wires are pretty straight forward, but I’m curious about how you went about connecting the ignition and ground trigger wires on your T7.

is this constant power any time the bike is running or can you connect to the high beam switch?

Anyone know what that empty connector he mentions at 1:26 is for and what type connector is it?!?!? I wanted to order the pigtail but they wanted $16 to ship it so Im thinking $40 is a bit much...... I'll come up with another solution.

The shorter of the two bar clamps they ship is too short. As you can see it doesn't allow the bolt to grab the nylok portion of the nut to engage. I replaced these bolts with a slightly longer bolt, problem solved.

Where do you go? Your vids inspired me to get a T7. I’ve done 2 BDRS and 16k miles all over the place. Thanks for that, hope you make more vids one day.

You should always use a new crush washer. If not it’s easier to strip the threads. Plenty of people have done it, according to people in the tenere 700 forum. Many claim that Yamaha’s torque spec for the oil drain plug is a misprint. They claim that it is too high. According to them other bikes supposedly only require 12-16 ft-lbs. But based on two dealer mechanics at two different dealers I’ve been to, they say that the manual is correct and that is what they use. As a former aviation tech, I religiously use a torque wrench, even on the body plastic panels. If there is a spec in the manual, that is what I use. I say that because in that forum I had some guy who supposedly has a shop and their torque wrenches are calibrated, and have stripped the threads using the Yamaha specs. Unless a torque wrench is calibrated, it’s impossible to know if it’s good. Even when new. There are videos of people testing new torque wrenches of various prices and they are not as good as they seem. Anyhow, I was told is that you MUST use a new washer every time. Also, it’s funny how the torque wrench clicked and you kept going some more. Something I often see people do. Not criticizing, I’ve done it myself. Not anymore though.

Hmm, question, why use the PDM60 just for that and not connect the UBS adapter to the wiring that comes with the bike already? You did now that the white plug on the right side of the bike (At 3:45 is the plug to the right in your finger. It looks like in help with electrical tape) is the wiring for the accessory socket, right? I would had used that. It’s all wired and fuse and incorporated into the system of the bike already. Anyway, just a thought.

I installed the exact system after watching your video. I too had the same Garmin camera as you and now it’s at least being used. The only snag is my camera keeps going to “sleep” during a session. Did you encounter this and if so how did you get around it. Thanks - great video.

Great video, thank you. I changed from an 2006 GS to a 2017 Super Tenere. I’m interested in understanding more about your need to add the risers. Im tall and have found, after a few days, I get pain developing in the neck and tension in the back. I NEVER did with the GS. I’m wondering if this is why you did the risers and did it help? I’m 6’4”, btw. Great video again, and I look forward to watching more of your vids. Callum
