This horse is ducking behind the bit and hyperflexing into a dangerous position. No self carriage, no seeking contact. This is what happens when you pull the horses nose in, rather than wait for him to reach into your hands. Closed throatlatch, tight neck, hard hands

Better to use small blocks to raise the roles - you risk injury using rails to raise the poles

@Galemor1

@@heatherguillory900 Exactly why I said that he doesn't need that leverage bit.. Because people don't know shit, then they watch videos of good riders, riding with leverage bits and all that, and they think that if they just get that stuff, their horse will act just like this one. I think it's about time that good riders show just how little equipment you need to work with the horse.. It's weird that how higher level you are, the more stuff you need to work with the horses.. I know it is because you are in a level that means you can use this correctly and that is why they had this in competition in the first place. But the way the world and industry has changed, this is not the case anymore, so I would like to see less equipment the higher level the horse and rider compete in.. Because today's dressage is a laughing stock of circus tricks..

@@Galemor1 I think more than good examples on youtube, riders need more good and available instructors. I had little knowledge about how to "ride" until I just so happened to move to a place, that just so happened to have an instructor that I could get to to teach me. KZbin is no substitute for a good teacher.

@@heatherguillory900 I agree, but it is a place where people have easy access to information and therefore, should that information be as informative as possible, or at least, that people write informative in the comments, so they can know what others think and start to wonder and maybe even look for that information. I am in it for the horses. The more knowledge people have, the better it is for the horses. If everyone thinks horses standing alone on poststamp sized paddocks, is ok, then they won't ever change that, before they find the knowledge about how horses really wants it. Before they learn to treat every horse according to their different personality.

Cavelitti are the free jumping corridors for horses,however my exp.teaches me that there should be open & free jumping corridors in equestrian. Horse enters & exists from both open areas with minimum distance of 25 feet between 2 jumps of 2 feet high. Horse lands 6 feet away from jump & needs 5 feet distance before take up the next jump so he gets only 14 feet distance for momentum.

Practice keeping your heels down more and more your leg position back you probably fell off because u were sitting to forward also roll your shoulders back and then you should have a correct position

This is the typical dressage video, it says "I will explain this and that" and then it explains nothing. I see you ride Jennifer, that's all I do. You do not explain anything. I don't have a clue as to what you are trying to teach. It is nice riding though.

I agree with American baby. She is a VERY sucsessful hunter rider and trainner. You have to remember this is hunters..... not based on the rider. Obviously she isn't focusing on her eq. To ride this horse effectivly she prob needed to ride like that.

i don't understand the critics of some people here. this horse is never btv (behind the vertical). he seams to be happy and relaxed. no tension there. the rider sits so beautiful and still, she never is disturbing the movements of the horse. And you should all consider that this horse is in training and is not yet a fully trained Grand prix horse. i wonder if the people crtitsising her know how difficult it is to train a horse in a good way

this rider is just totally hanging on the horse's mouth and so it looks like a game of tug-of-war between the two. Dressage is supposed to look effortless, pleasant, and horse and rider should be happy, not this tense, hanging that I see. rider, please try to use your seat and not your hands (oh, and half-halts would work to get the horse off his forhand).

the reason why he isn't off the horse's back is because when you jump the force of the horse jumping pushes you out of the saddle, you don't lift up out of the saddle on purpose! if you do, then when you go to jump you will jump way ahead of the horse. and I'm sure if people thought he looked like a "beginner on a trail ride" then the Practical Horsemen magazine wouldn't have put him in one of their articles.
