I’ve been to Panama, Rome and Cairo. Cairo is one of the craziest places I’ve ever experienced traffic wise. Atlanta comes VERY close!!!😂

This is so true about the restaurants. I went to an amazing restaurant but the server hardly ever came over to take our order or ask if we needed anything, despite standing really close to our table. I eventually figured out that he was waiting to be summoned by me.

I absolutely love the way you both cover the good, the bad and the ugly. I am originally from MD, transplanted in FL and looking to continue my Best life abroad. My question is that I am looking to relocate to Panama. I am a Veteran and retire and single. Can you speak on how it is for single women to relocate there? Is it safe to move around being single? Also how far is the VA hospital from Cangrejo. Can you recommend a few secure high rises with great amenities in Cangrejo, so I can research them before my first visit next year.

The bottom line is you get what you pay for, however, in the States it would usually be multiplied several times (of course that also depends on where you are looking). People go in with blinders and expectations rather than actually checking out the place before they move. Yes, you can get cheap and sometimes you can even get lucky, however, it may not check all of your boxes and Americans have their 'wants' that they want satisfied. Ask a lot of questions and talk to people that live where you are looking.

Question: As a 100% disabled vet in the VA Foreign Medical Program can you go to any hospital in Panama if you need care for your disability or is there a designated hospital that provides care for US disabled veterans? Most of whats said can be said in 3 - 2 minutes segments. So the pace is slow. Most with those expectations aint coming. It seems like you harped on all the negatives.

We absolutely love this country. That’s why we are permanent residents because we don’t plan on moving anywhere else.
