For God's sake, what is the piano piece she is playing at the end? It's apparently a traditional song, but it is not on the soundtrack. Anyone know what it is or how to find it?

Mike Leigh's *Naked* (1993) is an intense and emotionally raw film that explores themes of existential despair, human connection, and the darkness of modern urban life. Some notable scenes include: 1. **Johnny's Arrival in London** Johnny (David Thewlis) arrives in London after fleeing Manchester. His arrival sets the tone for his abrasive and cynical personality. The scene captures the gritty urban environment and Johnny's restless nature. 2. **Johnny's Philosophical Ramblings with Brian** Johnny engages in a profound and unsettling conversation with Brian, a night security guard. Johnny's existential musings touch on topics like time, life, and human insignificance, blending dark humor with a nihilistic worldview. 3. **Louise's Homecoming** Louise, Johnny's ex-girlfriend, comes home to find him squatting in her flat. Their interactions reveal layers of past intimacy, unresolved tension, and emotional vulnerability. 4. **Johnny's Encounter with Sophie** Johnny becomes entangled with Sophie, Louise's flatmate. Their relationship is fraught with power dynamics, manipulation, and emotional volatility. This dynamic serves as a microcosm of Johnny's toxic behavior. 5. **The Alleyway Assault** A jarring and disturbing moment where Johnny is beaten by strangers in a grim alleyway. This scene underscores his vulnerability and the brutal realities of the world he critiques. 6. **The Final Scene** Johnny, injured and broken, leaves Louise's flat, wandering into the uncertain night. His departure is emblematic of his inability to find solace or redemption, leaving viewers with a haunting sense of ambiguity. *Naked* is celebrated for its unflinching exploration of complex characters and its vivid portrayal of human despair, with David Thewlis delivering a tour-de-force performance. Let me know if you'd like to dive deeper into any specific scene or theme!

That's all the neurotic End of The World crap that existentialist nihilists were worrying about as the century came to a close. I was the same back then. Turns out the future was (planned out to be) far more sinister than we ever could have fathomed back then, as the barcode dialogue alludes to (the 'cashless society'). Great bit-a-banter. I can seriously relate to these kinds of encounters ha ha.

I like how the disappearance of the witches is handled. They simply go in to an old cellar and Macbeth jokes that they have vanished into the air. The supernatural nature of the witches is not revealed until later allowing Macbeth and Banquo to dismiss the witches prophecy as the ramblings of crazy old women.

Propably my favourite personification of God....very based and most likely if the all present entity of pure energy had any actual need to low itself down to material state for any reason....but honestly that sounds very unlikely....i doubt such infinite entity would ever bother to care about such trivial matters while basicly orchestrating in motion everything in infinite universes including ours....

I mean he… like most nihilists, get the facts almost all completely wrong, likely in a way to try and cope under the guise of intellectualism with their own problems with lack of societal and more often the bigger contributor: their own personal lack of progress or lack of inability to deal with the mundane.

One thing that always struck me about this scene. More than just his dream. When she brought out Excalibur, she cradles it as if you would a child. I guess it really was the only "child' they ever had.
