I bought a single 1939 2 reichsmark coin. It's cool to own a controversial piece of history that might make people go "OMG WTF". I don't intend to start a massive collection of nazi coins but perhaps I'll complete a set at some point.

Coins are not the "mouthpiece" of any ideology. They are just fragments of history. We must study the past so as not to repeat the same mistakes in the future. So coins are good.

History is history, it happend and should not be forgotten. Collecting these coins is a public service.

I’m a history teacher. If I avoided all artifacts from notorious regimes my collections would be very boring. And if you’re looking for silver, it’s all about bullion weight to spot price.

i mean...i started collecting money from that era for the sole reason of their historic importance, call me what you want because first off im Mexican, the fuck do i care what some snowflake thinks, far as im concerned as a collector - its just another shiny coin/crisp bill going into my personal collection - its foreign, and its old, 2 points in the win column started collecting German, Russian, Japanese and Mexican money for the hell of it, our money looks so boring and dull...i need a change of imagery

Sir. as I understand things the Gi's and Britts marching across Europe would search every kia and some civilians for silver coins. The Russians collected them also. No dude you didnt buy them for the silver because these coins if you judge them by silver cost 200-300% more than the silver content, and you dont have none of the 1934/35/36 coins that dont have the swastika and are much cheaper with the same silver content. You just like them for the swastika because otherwise you would be buying them aswell as buying 1 OZ pure silver bullion coins

That eagle and that symbol make those coins more awesome than their silver content!
