Thank you for making this video. I thought the screen has to be removed and glued back in but it looks like you bought the entire top lid with screen in it. Someone gave me a much older 2012 MPro with a broken screen but as it does not cause any issues while viewing so holding on it. Got Catalina on it but have installed various Linux distros and they all run great.

Excellent tutorial. HP did it a bit complex to remove those things compared to the previous Pavillion models, but you showed how to do this in a clear manner. I just have a WD black in my old Pavillion (WD was bought a few years ago, before I changed for TG01) so I'll install it soon. Thanks a lot. BTW, is power supply strong enough for 2HDD + additional SDD?

Great video, thank you so much... My hinge brock away, it became so stiff to open and it cracked my screen, I searched how to fix hinge and did it my self by drilling and putting some bolts in. It works great but as the screen is cracked the touch screen on that side doesn't work and it sometimes just blocks the screen. I hope I can get the whole back to do the replacement as my laptop is still great. Thanks again

Thanks for the tutorial. One thing to keep in mind for those looking for the same exact battery (the one that starts with W) is that you may no longer find said battery OEM from Dell. They will have one with a Y that is slightly different. The difference is the connector on the battery is about 2-3 cm more towards the middle, hence, the original cable will not work as it is too short to bend and too long to use as is. You will need to get a shorter cable, or something longer which can allow you to wrap around and back into the motherboard connector.
