I never understood the point of non upgradable ram. 16gb is pretty much useless nowadays. I always make sure any laptop i buy has upgradable ram. When i got mine it had a pathetic 8gb in it, but now it has 32. The sweet spot for me. Also, having only 1 fan is a bit terrible too. Was this a budget laptop? If not then it should have been. Still, nice detailed teardown though. Thanks.

What OS & applications are you using to make 16gb ram pretty useless?

@avalagum7957 Anything nowadays really. Windows 11 takes up about 6 to 8 meg on its own. The extra memory really helps boost the reliability and speed of my laptop. I was getting a lot of BSOD's before the upgrade. But none, since. I wish 32gb was standard for memory, especially in laptops. It's my only PC at the moment, too. I do not own a desktop due to being broke, but I am saving for one. I would love to get one from ,"The Greatest Technician That Ever Lived," but sadly can't due to the fact that he doesn't ship to the UK. So I guess it's eBay! Eventually.

16 gigs is fine but Its not useless but since laptop is unupgradable they should made it 32gigs
