Hope the slowdown was fun. I was looking for something close to my 40th bday to do in February 2025. I live in Indiana and came across this event that I assume will happen in march again next year ? Planning on doing the slowdown. The weather looks perfect 👌 I tent camp in weather down to 30 degrees at my property up here so it will feel amazing down there in March.

ETS 2024 was March 21st - 24th, I'm a little late in editing this together. How does it look around these parts in the fall?

Awesome! Where can I get this route to download? I don’t want to get lost out there.

I use gravelmap.com to find most of my routes, here is the page for this one: gravelmap.com/map/route/97342-four-notch -- lots of treecover here, so not a bad idea for summer!

Can you post a map link to the starting location, or where i can find this route? I live in Montgomery and work in bcs frequently. I'd like to do something out there thats not just drinking, but it seems like thats all cstst has. Bikes are more just transportation than fur fun out there

This one I was worried about resupply so I started exactly 50 miles away from where I knew I could find food and water. I used Waze to navigate to "Lake Donna V" at the top there. I use gravelmap.com to source a lot of these routes, I just added a link to the video description. There's a lot of gravel out there, and if you like the site, stringing the road sections together to define a new route could be something rad to do!

Nice!! Looks awesome without the mud we experienced. Did you do the slowdown in March?

I did the Lowdown, and the highlight reels were beautiful, so I'm looking forward to string together the video soon!

Great video! On my list of rides to do. I have a few central Texas rides on my channel if you want to check them out. Thanks for sharing!

Would this be a good ride for a beginner? Just ordered a gravel bike. Thanks.

Yes, it was my first major gravel ride too, just remember to turn back when you've used half your water, and go slow if it's too bumpy -- the fast sections irritated my wrists. Pros: * Several loops, so very adjustable * Lots of tree cover, beautiful scenery * Close to Houston * Variety of gravel: embedded, loose, and dirt * Well-defined parking area Cons: * Some bumpy downhills * Water only at opposite end
