Yes the pre-facelift model was not that good looking, but damn after the Facelift it became the most beautiful BMW 7 series ever. Also the tech was so advanced for it's time. Just one question: Did you do some upgrades yourself? I don't remember Key-less go and start being available. I always remember people needing to insert the key into that slot.
@martinhabinak4 күн бұрын
Yes, that generation of the 7-Series has very beautiful design and the key-less option was optional feature.

I have tuned my 2016 BMW 740i g11 , FOB and turbo upgrades, I'm making around 750-800 bhp and this the most fun thing I've ever owned but damn with high HP numbers stuff starts to wear n give out 🤣😂
@AntXavier19 күн бұрын
How much power do you thjink you could make with just downpipe and stage 1 tune? I don't know if I should get the 740i or the 750i I want more power but I need the best reliability. I know the 750i only has power
@martinhabinak19 күн бұрын
740i (B58 used in Toyota Supra) is definitely much more reliable than 750i.

I have a 08 750li zsp sport. it's a big car, but with the stiffer lower sport suspension and dynamic drive, it can take corners amazingly well and high speeds. It's a blast to drive in the mountains.

I wish you could do the F01 lci review. And how does the ride of these two cars compares to your G11? I heared people complaining for sound insulation on G11 especially compared to F01 lci model. Maybe carbon core has less sound deadning (Fixed with lci, more sound insulation + thicker glass).

A very basic error, maybe an editing issue as the BMW uses a ZF

I think it's important to note that the ABC suspension on Mercedes-Benz is notoriously unreliable and very difficult to fix. Also, if there is a leak in the ABC system, it will disable the whole car and prevent it from being driven. BMW's adaptive drive system, meanwhile, has proven to be extremely reliable, and if it breaks, you just end up with normal swaybars. Somehow BMW made the more reliable suspension system here! The N62 was the only engine that could be had in the E65 in NA, and its issues with valve stem seals, oil leaks that are very time consuming to repair, and the coolant crossover pipe are well-documented. Conversely, if you avoid the early M273 years with timing chain idler gear issues, the M273 is not only much more reliable than the N62, it is exponentially easier to work on. By the way, the 7-speed 722.9 transmission in the W221 here was *not* manufactured by ZF. It is an in-house Mercedes transmission. It's a really excellent transmission and I prefer it to the legendary 722.6 that came before it.

@@applehugger In Europe there is also M54 (prefacelift) and N52 (facelift) NA petrol I6. The latter is the one to have, fast enough and reliable. Correct on BMW Dynamic Drive, if it fails it is usually the valve block seals going. Just get the latest revision (check part number), after replacing do the bleeding procedure and all is good.
@applehuggerАй бұрын
@@dmarkovinaYes, I have an E83 with the N52 and it’s a really nice engine. I would totally consider buying an E65 if it was sold with the N52 over here!
@dmarkovinaАй бұрын
@@applehugger just one more tiny detail on when BMW Dynamic Drive fails - yes the car is not disabled like with Mercedes, but you don't end up with a normal sway bar but rather two sway bar halves disconnected (there is a hydraulic coupling element in the middle), and more body roll in corners. And also a nice red warning message in the dash which won't go away.
