Hi Martin, how common is rust for this e65 models? I never saw one with rust on the exterior, but what about the undercarriage? This type of rust yours has can it be fixed by a good body shop or restored? Also can you please tell me honestly, is the g11 much better than the e65?

Hi, it depends on environment where the car is used. For example here in UK, we have salt on the road every winter, so that doesn’t help. But overall E65 is better rust resistant than predecessor E38. The E65 body shell has 90% of sheet panels made from higher tensile steel, where E38 has only 30%. It’s hard compare G11 to E65. They’re both great cars. G11 has new technology and E65 I would say is more durable or solid.

@@martinhabinak thanks but what about comfort and the way they drive, handle? Is it worth upgrading? My opinion is that the f01 is not better at all than the e65 about the g11 I don't know

From my experience, G11 has more comfortable suspension and it handles better than E65, although the seats in E65 are more comfortable, better adjustable and the front seats are even wider.
