None of those are thick accents. That's the posh voice for every single one of those people. Try Geordie again but do it working class and not for camera. Good luck working out if they're scottish or eastern european before realising they're just northern.

What about the pronunciation of 'colonel'? Some speakers pronounce it as 'ker-nell'.

MLE definitely. Sounds like a real uneducated person who can’t even string a sentance together without using a slang term.

As an American English speaker from Minnesota: My favorite UK accent is a tossup between Glaswegian and Cockney. My least favorite is a tossup between Manc and Essex.

Congrats for your engagement! As a curiosity, "Oi" means "Hi" in Portuguese. Very, very popular in Brazil 😄

I've always enjoyed the spectrum spun between Wales and Liverpool, kind of extended idea of the West Country accent. Those are not particularily popular outside of UK, and seem not to be the star of the party on the isles as well... We're basically down to Hagrid from Harry Potter, Spike from Notting Hill, or those quirky denizens in Hot Fuzz... :))) However, as a non-UK-citizen, I've always had a soft spot for them (the accents, not the quirky denizens in Hot Fuzz :)

Real Essex (away from London) sounds nothing like the Towie accent he showed. It has more of an Australian-style twang to it.

Your message is very importrant :) but Tom does not make us learn hindi. He told us about his engagement in English which is very important :) You seem to be a very polite person haha By the way - not "the hindi". The names of languages go without an article.

That’s crap. The onlyway is Essex is NOT a true representation of our accent nor our way of life, TOWIE is the equivalent of BREAD. It’s totally unrealistic of how we actually speak. Gemma Collins is about as much of a true representation of Essex as Lilly savage is of Liverpool . Mate…., DO ME A FAVOUR! 🙄🙄🙄

We Americans "abbreviated" the words "isn't it" to "ain't it." Which really isn't an abbreviation at all... init? 🤣 Edit: I realized hours after the fact that I used "init" wrong. Oops! 🤣
