The first commercial for this game and the second failed to mention that the playing pieces were made of Play-Doh.

If I were to get this game, I doubt I'll actually play it as intended because as a game it doesn't seem that fun. It's more fun to just watch Barney run around the board. Lol

My favorite board game! lol. Back in the day it really spun and went crazy! Many hours in my grandparents house playing this. I still own it, but haven’t played it in a couple of decades now.

Don't waste your time watching this trash video, it's just this annoying guy loving the sound of his own voice. Didn't see any of the actual game at all...boooo

As cool as this game is, I'd honestly rather go for the original Dark Tower despite the hefty prices it goes for. That's mainly due to the app dependency this remake has, I don't really care for board games where you have to download apps in order to play them because it goes against one of my personal reasons for wanting to collect and play board games (to spend time off the internet).

This is literally my 1 most wanted board game, the whole idea of it is so bizarre and cool! Shame it's near impossible to find one for a cheap price.
@TabletopIsland6 ай бұрын
@@Z-Man-lz It’s the only game I understand being as expensive as it is. It’s easy for a kid to have broken so getting one nice and not broken had to be hard since it wasn’t sold for very long :/

Down From The Attic's review of this game gave me a new appreciation towards it, I especially love the personality of the virus itself! I would like to get my hands on this game, but cool vintage games like these almost always go for expensive prices on eBay.

I’m not entirely sure, but I know the popular one is the green box one from research. I imagine it’s also the first edition one since it’s the one that was translated in every language.

This is a game I've had in my collection since I was a kid. My dad bought it for us the year it came out. Even to this day, any time I pull this game out for people they have a blast. The first game is the learning session and EVERY time the first game ends I get a "Wait, run it back!". It's not a game to play ALL the time but it's novelty and the baked in timer make the game a great quickie game that you can get a few rounds of in minimal time, it doesn't overstay its welcome and continues to be a winner. I hope that IF they are able to 'remake' this game they don't over complicate it and take away the charm of it.

Glad to see this game get some recognition! I got the game as a kid in the early 90's and look forward to play it with my son when he gets older. Although the game board is exactly the same, my vampire piece is of a different design. The actual stamp is under his feet and his top hat can't be removed at all. His face looks more like the vampire face printed on your game board. :)

Not sure how this could be the "predecessor" to Voice of the Mummy when this came out in 1972 (Mummy came out in '71), but it's still a cool game. At the time, this was an example of "technology so advanced as to be indistinguishable from magic". Would have been cool if this could have been combined with something that was scarier/creepier, like Which Witch, or Green Ghost. If only 7-year-old me could have had his mind blow by what was to come....

The intro music reminds me of the music from Creepshow 2. I had this game when I was a kid. I loved it. It was loud all of the time. That’s just how it was. It buzzed loudly, and then even louder when the hand came up! I wish I still had it.
