The ES335 just has a unique sound unlike any other guitar, including Les Pauls.

I met Larry at a workshop. He is amazing and such a kind soul. I never got to meet or see Tal; that would have been amazing. Two legends and masters of their craft sharing their love for the music. It doesn’t get better than this.

Anyone know where other clips/recordings of this specific concert can be found? PooHiro posted Smiles and Smiles to Go, but I can't find any others.

I attended GIT in the early 80s and he came to play for us.... Along with Eric Johnson, Larry Coryell, Al Demiola, Joe Pass and Herb Ellis and others that I cannot remember. What I noticed about Larry is how huge his hands are....I"m guessing kind'a like Hendrix....

Man oh man. I got to meet Larry at Cory Wong’s summer camp in August. After his performance me and some friends introduced ourselves to him in front of the stage. I told him how much his melodic soloing had influenced my own playing and he was very polite and engaged. After our short conversation I hopped up next to him on the stage for a picture with him and I’ll never forget his “Geez son, you’re a tall drink of water!” Such a special moment :)

No tabs included? What the hell? I know I could play this perfectly if I could see the tablature. Oh well, guess I won't be playing this anytime soon.... (FYI this is how I used to think. If I only knew the notes I could kill it. Then I learned the truth. Larry is can not be duplicated)

Just imagine the tragedy if Van Halen or Ted Nugent would've tried to do it!🤣

When you’ve been playing a tune for decades, you need to change up your approach to keep it as fresh as possible. He sounds great as always.
I love a happy guitarist. Especially when he's a virtuoso.

Man this was when Larry was king. I got to see him at Donte’s many times before his first album was released with Jeff and Mike Porcaro and Greg Mathieson. His improv over changes was so effortless and tasteful. Great memories.

Think this one of our shows in Japan. Don Freeman here. Played keyboards with Larry on his Strikes Twice album and did 2 three week tours of Japan which were fantastic.

The flams on the snare are not coming from the drummer in this video, any ideas?

the whole mix is flammed. Probably the audio is coming from two sources and not synced properly.

Drummer needs to get off that shuffle underneath this tune. Doesn't work. Or they got a bad echo. Yikes
