G scale live steam is so cool. I wish that a c-46 wasnt $5000 tho lmao

Did some research and the k line car is a 40 foot reefer so the RMT is in fact true to scale

Like the layout you have, a question what is the noise level from the trains on the foam board
@calebeastertrains9 күн бұрын
Thank you! So far it hasnt been that bad. Ballasting the track made a big difference as well. I normally don't run trains over speed step 60 on the legacy remote so its not horrible.

This company did a demonstration at Greenberg’s a few years ago and I couldn’t believe what a cool system is was. Worth every penny

This just proves that bigger isn’t always better. Plenty of action and realism in a small space. Wish I could start over and do it like this

Yessir! I could've filled the entire room up but I would not have had as many opportunities for scenery. Thank you so much!

Very nice. Going broke in o scale. Lol. Bit off way too much. Big dreams. Being divorced, I have no common sense. Beats drugs and way cheaper than vintage cars or most big boy hobbies actual. Great job.

O scale is expensive, but ive got some more projects coming soon too that are more affordable, stay tuned to find out!

Yep Caleb Cheerwine is good. Such a shame for us in this area we lost the Choo Choo Shop but lucky we still have Chuck’s Trains and Hobby and the Trainloft in Winston Salem. It would be nice if there was a O gauge group here locally

Very nice, Caleb! The layout is really looking great, for sure. I like the way that you pack plenty of scenery into a smaller space. I like your running sessions, where even larger engines and cars look good, on your layout. I'm going to look for a Southern caboose at the upcoming shows, here in the Toledo area, so I can run a proper Southern freight train with my 2356 Southern F3. I usually run my AMT Southern Crescent with my MTH Rail King Southern Ps-4 Pacific. It is a gorgeous train and you can see it running on my Chooch's Trains channel. I think that I mentioned to you earlier, before I started my channel, that I'm not very good at scenery. I always appreciate any tips on how to do things properly, so looks natural. Either way, an excellent overview and video, as always.

How did you get the mallet to run on those curves? Or did that thing have a smaller minimum curve than I remembered
@calebeastertrains9 күн бұрын
It's an MTH Railking. Its one of the few ive seen that almost look scale, it can run on 0-31. Now most 2-6-6-2s that are scale do work on 0-48 if my memory serves me right.

You are doing a really good job on that layout. It shows that you are a videographer and this in your studio. I consider my small American Flyer layout to be a movie studio and am working to be able to shoot scenes that give the feeling that the layout is bigger than it is.

i love it , i started my first layout 3 years ago (10 x 20). After i layed track it became overwhelming , i didnt know where to go next. Still confused and progress is slow. It is expensive and ive wasted a lot of money by not thinking through my purchases, but still having fun!!

Nice job. But know the center lines on the roads were white until the late 70s. So if your layout is earlier than that the yellow center lines should be white. I have two of the Menards soda trucks and I love them. Also use caution buying those buildings on the secondary market. I’ve seen sellers charging more than new prices.
@calebeastertrains9 күн бұрын
Ahh I gotcha. Ill still probably keep the yellow lines just cause I love how they look. The menards soda trucks are pretty awesome! Yessir don't worry I was pretty smart with the buildings, thankful I don't have to eat the cost of them anymore haha!
