Were the cymbal rolls/hits omitted on purpose in the Prologue?

The book was rearranged for a much larger pops orchestra. The cymbal rolls were played by percussionists and not written in the drumset part.

@@DonSandersonDrums awesome do you have an email where I can send you a track without the drums with possibly a metronome? Because I have a track with drums but they are default drums from GarageBand and they don’t sound as realistic as real ones do. But the track is beautifully orchestrated in GarageBand with some vst instruments that sound pretty real including guitar playing from a family member of my family.

Great drumming. So, are you playing the prescribed drum part, improvising on your own, or perhaps some of each? Do you ever find that you've forgotten some drum part of the tune, or get out of sync, and then wing it back to the original score?

Hi Stanley, I transcribed the part that original wicked drummer Gary Seligson played. Then I endeavor to play it note for note as best I can. On a long song like this, 7 minutes plus, if I make a mistake or 2 I live with it. I can't punch in. My recordings are all done in a single take. I don't always get them the first time, but I have to get them all in a single take with the video system I am using. Thanks for watching.
