I made the mistake of actually reading The Symposium before watching this video, though I did not understand it all. This helped me understand more and in a funny way and I love it. Keep making these!

This is how my philosophy class should be. Your way of describing the events are fun to listen to, I really like everything you’re telling us. I hope to see more videos of yours giving summary and review to other famous philosophical books. Hope you’re having a good day :)))) Thanks for helping me in my reading class session ^___^

I loved listening to you. It enabled me to write my ideas on paper about the Symposium faster. Based on your question, I imagine that Plato did not want to show Socrates learning about love from "an older and wiser male, " which is why he stated Diotima as a female. Thanks!

You got the Alcestis story wrong. Her husband didn't die, he was just meant to die. Alcestis was the only one to offer her life to Death (Tanathos) in return for Admetus' and so she did. Hercules, a passer-by guest of Admetus, was impressed by her gesture and went to fight Tanathos and got her back. That said, I like your style, keep it up.

Thank you so much! 🙇🏽♀🖤 it is way better to understand rather than the book. I think everyone can get it since you explain it in layman's term and in a conversation wherein you cite examples or basic wordings. YOU ARE A GENIUS! 🖤

should Socrate give up his 'love' to escape death? Should Alcibiades give up on chasing rational love? Should Sisyphus abandon his rock and accept his ego death?

I think it's creepy for Disney/Pixar to be meddling with such heavy material. Not to mention that Inside Out movie as well.. There are multiple cultures around the globe, each with their own spin on the subjects of consciousness and death - yet these guys manage to offend everyone. If said 'guys' end up end up being the masters of a dystopian future, we're all screwed; and these are the warning signs. Lol
