I have 100W + 80W solar panels on my small summer house feeding a 100Ah battery. Through a 1000W inverter I can run my heat pump in AC mode to keep down the temperature in the afternoon. The heat pump will just draw 200-300W to lower the temperature a few degrees.

Hey Rayon, i have a three bedroom house, 3 ac units (2 18000 and a 36000 btu). The regular other appliances. Should i get a 10000 w interver? Wanted to also get 20 580w panels. Can i put a water heater on the system or go for a solar water heater? I may not have space on the roof though with all those panels.

Hey just seeing this. Will you be using a dryer and fully electric stove? If not, you can do a 8kW hybrid inverter. If yes, I'd say go with a 12kW so that if you should in any case have the 36k btu, stove and dryer on at least the inverter is large enough to handle those loads.

What the size AC unit and how many panel and wattage for each are you using? Do you also store energy for nighttime use?

You can always build and use solar only but its always recommended to have JPS as a backup still. You can use either solar or JPS as backup source but its always recommended to have a backup. And remember you can earn money by feeding excesses power into the JPS grid.

@@dpark1964 wires range from $28k-35k JMD for the good ones. Racking for slab roof - $2500-2700 for each pair of legs and aluminum rails (16'-17') $5000-7500 each

Thank you for sharing. Deye Sunsynk and Sol-Ark are the same hardware with different UI. Deye OEM's for other suppliers as well. I do HV and I have used SolaX exclusively. The hardware is better built than the Deye.

Thank for this, I've researched Solax and really wanted to use them, however, they don't have a split phase version that outputs 120/240V AC. If/when they do I'd be happy to try it out.
