Is the settings set at all metal for both detectors? All metal usually detects the deepest.

Their entire site messes up sometimes but they don’t really take stuff down unless outdated

Well I have a Otex & very happy with it for what I do. Is the Simplex worth $150 to $200 more. Not to me. Maybe for some others. In time I may move up. The one thing I really like is the Otex for a entry level unit does very we in discriminate between metals even if you Need to slow down a bit. JMOHOP

I love the pheonix, but my soil is not as compact like paystreaks and the plug dosnt fit in the hole like a glove, it crumbles a bit

Ah the Root Getter shovel one of the best shovels I've used and I've used a bunch some I made some I bought got mine for 60 bucks at tractor supply!!!

You know if you turn the sensitivity level down and use a good battery the DR Otek is a good metal detector

Very good comparison. I have the otek and I do slow detecting. I may upgrade to the simplex in time. The otek is doing just fine for my needs.

My OTek would switch between nail and other symbol. I didn't try to focus on the noise but the flashing symbol that indicates that there are two different metals. I guess your thing would be listening to different sounds rather than a visual indicator. But to me they both performed pretty much the same. I expected the simplex to do way better at triple the cost. Good review over all.

I agree, I have run into this many time. Easy to tell its iron and not silver, when you use the pinpoint on Simplex a big chunk of iron will really blast your ears when using the headphones

Great comparison. I wanted to see how a drötek could hold up against a better detector like the simplex. Not bad for the price I guess, but I’d definitely get the simplex. Next time put the GoPro on your body so it doesn’t make people so dizzy when your moving around. 👍🏼

Hey - it's hard to tell...is the playback actually stereo? And when the osmo is recording, does it make 15 minute segment files that you have to weave together in post, or can you drop the files in your editor, and they just connect seamlessly? What is max recording time on your osmo? Thanks!

Loss of your drone with the Litchi app is associated with waypoint flying. People are flying out of VLOS (visual line of sight) and end up hitting obstacles, birds, etc. and have their drone tumble out of the sky. NEVER EVER fly out of VLOS with a drone not approved for this. The liability risk you’re taking is off the chart and insurance will not cover you because you were flying ILLEGALLY. Consumer drones have limitations and you must accept them otherwise you’re acting like what we call an IDIOT and I have no sympathy for you.
