Arabic فرن is pronounced "furn". Like French "four" and Italian "forno" it also comes from Latin "furnus". And kousha comes from Turkish "köşe" which borrowed it from Persian "gushe"

btw, most questions that start with shnowa like shnowa ismk, can be shortend (and is often the case) to just "sh", for example "shismk". "shnowa hwalek" (wich means how are you) becomes "shahwalek"; "shnowa ta'amel" (means what are you doing) becomes "shta'amel".

لا صديقي كوشة كلمة عثمانية köşe معناها ركن تم تحريف الكلمة عند العرب فتجد معانا ركن العريس أو مقعده في اللهجة المصرية أما بقية دول المغرب (ليست تونس فقط) تسمي الفرن كوشة يمكن لوجوه دائما في ركن من أركان البناية.
@Am_PaulАй бұрын
Wow, I wasn't expecting this theory! Thanks for your insight.
@hussen859Ай бұрын
وين المشكلة في كونها كلمة عثمانية ولا حتى من المريخ ؟ هو قال كلمة تونسي معناها "الفرن' و هذا صحيح في اللغة التونسية او في اللسان التونسي تعبير كوشا يطلق على الفرن

(It's really used by females, so if you don't wanna sound less .. masculine don't say it. I mean nothing I swear but you need to know) It's beacuse worms are tiny and innocent. The origin of the idiom is really blurred as to why specifically worms but yeah. There's also a dysphemitic idiom "Na3n bou zinek" lit. "Curse upon the father [origin] of your beauty" but it means "Omg you're so cute". Tunisian is weird 😭
