Almost all of these symptoms are also actions your horse does daily in very healthy condition. so no don't call if your horse, Yawns, paws, seats, stretches kicks at the belly. This is how vets get you. Now if they are doing these things excessively also with other actions, like not wanting to work, or moody, and you can just tell your horse is behaving differently then call.

I just watched this video again but I have only JUST found tiny specs of blood in my mare's ears where the north Idaho black fly bites have been happening. What topical is safe for me to treat the open areas with? Also, should I be putting swat ointment around the wounds to help repell? Grace will NEVER leave her fly masks on, if she can't get it off, she has her buddy branigan take it off:(

Hi Doc Jenny! This is one of your patients. The owner of JT Lady Grace. I am having a HUGE problem saddling her. I have always had my saddles made for the horse I was riding in life but this is the first time I can neither afford to have one made and can find one that fits! I want to fit her for a western but I keep getting saddles and keep getting the wrong ones! You may remember her body type. She has a back like Brannigan the mustang. Very wide back but the typical super slender shoulders for the arabian breed she is. I was just given another saddle and it appears to be larger than the one I already had but I am scared to death to fit her wrong. Like I said, in the past, I always had a buddy who could measure and special make a saddle. HELP!!!!

HORRIFIC ABUSE. I'm a former horse owner and rider and having a bit in their mouth is EVIL!!!!! STOP RIDING HORSES WITH BITS. YOU see how you'd feel with a bit in your mouth and then yanked. Horrific. Poor slaves. In such pain

Hi Doc Jenni. This was a very interesting and informative video. Thanks for sharing. Have you ever heard of or used Hypochlorous Acid on any horse coats? It is 100% non-toxic and hypoallergenic. I produce it commercially if you're interested in trying some, please let me know, I would love to get you some samples.

"I would perform an elliptical incision around the mass, followed by blunt dissection to carefully isolate the mass. I would then ligate the blood vessels supplying the mass to ensure a bloodless surgery. Finally, I would remove the mass intact in one piece, which reduces the risk of metastasis."

I don't know any horses, I clicked this because I think animal behaviour is so interesting and I was really interested to see what the expert consensus of horse interactions are. glad to see in the first 10 seconds of the video that the expert opinion is that they need kisses on their lil ears

For a mass removal, consider an elliptical incision with at least a one-inch safety margin. Perform a blunt dissection to ensure a radical excision of the intact mass, minimizing the risk of metastasis. Ensure clear margins and handle tissues carefully to avoid seeding. hope you accept my suggestion

No. A horse has power in their legs to defend itself. We all know a kick from those hind quarters kill - instantly- also the horse can stomp as well as strike with the front legs along with bite - the horse has many ways to defend itself from a perceived predator- and yes horses see color far more impactful than we understand- we are learning; hobbling disgusts me - if you want to see me angry - do that to a horse - I prefer liberty training- that is allowing the horse to choose
