Yes. They were crazy at that moment. They are so much calmer now. It can be overwhelming to work with them when they are like that especially if one is not used to it.

If a hive swarms and leaves queen cells… how long after the swarm will the queen emerge?and from that day forward.. when will she lay first eggs?
@beehivetutorials3205
@beehivetutorials3205 Жыл бұрын
Swarm will most usually come out when queen cells are already closed. So new queen should emerge not more than 7 days after the swarm. She will go to her mating flight in a couple of days and (if successfully mated) start laying a couple of days after that. So you can expect to see eggs between 2 and 3 weeks after the swarm. If she doesn’t start laying 4 weeks after the swarm, something happened and she failed to mate. However, sometimes multiple (2 or 3) swarms can come out from one hive within a few days. Bees will make queen cells, then a few days later another group of queen cells, then a few days later another ones… The first swarm will go with the old queen. But the second one will wait for the first group of new queens to emerge and then go with those virgin queens. The third swarm will wait for the next group of young queens to emerge and go with them. The last group of queen cells will be for the original hive. So if multiple swarms come out from your hive, you should find eggs 2-3 weeks after the last swarm. See more about swarming here: beehivetutorials.com/swarming

@beehivetutorials3205
@beehivetutorials3205 Жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks for your comment. They are stinging sometimes. You can see one sting in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qXvLeGiZrsigZ80 . Older beekeepers are usually used to occasional sting. However, gloves are always near in case the bees are angry and he needs them. Like in this video, he started without gloves but he needed to put them on because bees started stinging : kzbin.info/www/bejne/iZC6iZ-shrerpqM . It’s easier to work bare hands. Sometimes it’s possible and sometimes it’s not. It depends on how calm the bees are in that particular moment. But the protective beekeeping suit is a must, always - you never know when they might change from nice to angry bees.

I thought the Queen Bee is feed Royal Jelly and this is what produces her...
@beehivetutorials3205
@beehivetutorials3205 Жыл бұрын
Yes. Bees feed her with royal jelly. But they need to feed the larva with royal jelly and that larva will then develop into the queen. All larvae are fed with royal jelly for the first 3 days but after that, only the future queens will continue to eat royal jelly and other larvae will eat pollen and honey. See: beehivetutorials.com/queen-bee-development

@beehivetutorials3205 Жыл бұрын
Hi. Thanks for your comments. Yes, you should definitely start learning by reading some books. That’s how you get basic knowledge. There will be lots of things to learn once you actually start doing it but you need basics first. And books are the best way for that. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend you a particular book because books that we have are all very old. Beginners are usually reading Beekeeping for dummies. But I believe that there are other great beekeeping books that you can find. It’s good to read a few of them. If you want to start beekeeping, your next step should be to try to find a experienced local beekeeper to get some practical knowledge from him. We just published an article about that: beehivetutorials.com/finding-a-local-beekeeper-to-learn-from-him . Feel free to let us know what you think. Here is an article about some requirements for beekeeping if you are still not sure if this is for you or not: beehivetutorials.com/finding-a-local-beekeeper-to-learn-from-him . Follow the next button at the bottom of the page to learn more. We hope that we’ll put more articles soon.

Recent Science Research says that every work is done by female bee for making Honey, it is exactly that which is told by God of whole universe 1450 years ago in Holy Book. Book Name: Holy Quran Chapter Name: Bee Chapter Number: 16 Verse No: 68 & 69 Verse 68: And your Lord inspired the female bee; that makes home in the mountains, and in the trees and in the rooftops. From their bellies comes a drink of various colours in which is healing for the people; indeed, in this is a sign to those who ponder. Please read out this book which is for whole humanity, Please don’t ignore it, this book have main three subjects i.e. 1 Creator 2 Human 3 Universe
