If you book your hotel with Amex FHR with your Platinum card and you have Hilton Diamond status you can enter your Hilton membership during checkout in FHR page and the Hotel should honor your Diamond status. That is what I've experience so far. Most recently we stayed at Las Vegas Waldorf Astoria which we booked through Amex FHR and we got both the FHR benefit + Hilton Diamond Status breakfast credit so this example we got both benefits!

I had to ask about the Hilton’s breakfast benefit, they’ll either say it’s one or the other or they’ll let you stack it

When you get to the hotel to check in you can provide them any card you want. So if you have the Aspire then definitely provide that card to maximize the points earned when charging anything to the your room. I’m not understanding what you meant by $25? Are you talking about the breakfast credit?

​@VincentXGoh I meant the complimentary food and beverage credits, varies per location but you can just google that term real quick and you'll see I guess the situation is like this: 1) Pre-paid FHR (Roosevelt Waldorf Astoria, New Orleans) thru the AMEX Platinum Travel portal = got the $200 FHR credit back already. 2) I now have the $100 in hotel credit and the daily breakfast for 2 (worth minimum $30 each so $60 every day). 3) I also have the $25 (see above link for diagram) per person/day from the Diamond tier membership offered by the Aspire. 4) I also have the $400 ($200 semi-annually) Hilton Resorts credit, though I'm pretty sure this particular Waldorf Astoria doesn't get included. So, if I keep my card on record for my room as the Amex Plat, i SHOULD get the $100 hotel credit for experiences as well as the daily breakfast, BUT would that not cover 3) and 4) as I'm not using the Aspire on record? Or since they already know I'm a diamond tier member based on the HH number i put in the AMEX platinum travel website when booking it (it also shows on my Hilton Honors app that its booked and recognized my status). Then I should just keep the AMEX Plat on record to trigger 2).

When you enter your HH in the loyalty field in FHR booking page that’s how they know your Hilton Status and if you’re a Gold or Diamond you MAY get the breakfast credit, it is up to the hotel to give you the breakfast credit on top of your FHR breakfast credit The card you used when staying at the property does not matter, at least that’s my experience so far.

Thanks! It just showed up when I was randomly searching and I double checked it was available for 2. I then went to my Business Class booking and select “upgrade” and it allowed me to upgrade both of our tickets to First Class. We got very lucky!

@@Omgeezy45 Booking through FHR sometimes yield better upgrade results, and they provided $100 Resort or Food & Beverage credit as well as late 4pm checkout. If you have travel often enough and stay at Hilton properties then the Hilton Aspire card is a no brainer, and the Diamond Status allows access to Hilton Hotel executive lounge

As long as your are booking a Hilton property that is under the "Resort" category and pay the room rate (Not advanced purchase), and stay before end of December and let the charge go through, you should see the -$200 statement credit The charge usually appears a few days after your stay, and then you should see the -$200 statement credit. Example, We stayed at Arizona Biltmore, and after our stay (July 6 - July 7) I see the charge on my statement on July 7, then July 11th I see "Hilton Resort Credit" -$200 appear. Hope this helps! 🙂

So I guess we are staying for "free"....BUT if we put dinning and /or SPA charges to the room. Would that count on the Aspire card resort $200 credit. @@DavidRodriguez-ou9fy Any charges you put on your room with your Aspire Card on file will trigger the resort credit as well. In room dining, spa, hotel restaurants, and some websites/data points suggest cash cost for a room upgrade also counts towards the Resort Credit being triggered as well, just make sure to charge it to your Aspire Card on file. Just remember to bring your aspire card and use the Aspire card for all incidentals, for both your free night stay and your points night stay.

Penthouse is very unlikely. Usually you’ll get one category up upgrades or sometimes two category up. Unless you book a suite then you might be upgraded to a larger suite, and hopefully a big one 🤞🏻

@MikePritchett9090 I don’t believe so, that might be a Vegas culture. I have not heard or read about anyone doing the $20 trick outside of Vegas. It definitely helps if you have hotel status. Booking with Amex FHR and having the highest status from the hotel will likely yield better upgrade results, but it the end it is up to the each property’s discretion

@MikePritchett9090 If the room is not ready you can try to ask if they have any other rooms ready or if there are any complimentary upgrade. It all depends if the hotel is busy that day, sometimes there could be a conference or an event/festival nearby so the hotel could be booked. In this video our situation was likely due to the previous guest had a late checkout so they could not clean the room in time for us so we got our room late
