Howdy, thank you for this helpful and informative video. I recently got a 1985 Honda FourTrax 250, one of the original iconic ones, and it is still running strong. Just replaced the old battery, so the electric start works very well. One question: right by the battery there is a hanging black plastic piece which I believe is part of the housing for the CDI module --- which seems to be missing. Obviously the wiring was somehow bypassed since the engine starts up and runs fine. So, just wondering if I should be thinking of replacing this missing CDI module in order to have the circuit installed correctly??? or is the CDI module superfluous??? Also, one other question please: I mostly use my FourTrax to pull a small leveling blade attached to the rear using a sleeve-type hitch --- this is how I grade and maintain our small horse arena. However since this blade is so heavy I need to find a way to brace it somehow. My idea is to use a nylon rachet-type tie-down to help lift up the blade so that it does not drag too much. We are only talking about a couple of hundred pounds, and the tie-down is rated at 1300 lbs. so no problem there. I want to be able to hitch it to rear black metal frame cage right behind the seat, which seems to be super strong and held down with multiple bolts. Obviously I do not want to damage anything on the FourTrax ---- so do you think the rear frame cage will be strong enough then?? I am already using a hitch riser that is giving me an extra couple of inches, but still need just a few more so that I can adjust my blade, and have complete ground clearance when needed. Please advise as you are able. I would appreciate it, and will continue to follow your KZbin videos. Thank you kindly... from Tucson, Arizona.

So that looks exactly like the carbs i pulled off my 1980 maxum 650, but the carb rebuild kit i bought does not match up with the jets or needles i have in the carbs

I’ve got a 2005 700 King Quad that I neglected and I think it ran low on oil. It had been burning a little from the crappy air filter from factory and I think it got low and I hadn’t checked it and it quit on me. I’m reluctant to open it up for fear it’ll cost me more than it’s worth and then I’ll have a big box of parts instead of a quad parked behind the shed. Thanks for the videos, they’re really helpful!

When you pulled the needle out there was a larger plastic washer laying there, you said I will show you where it goes when we put it together. You didn’t show . I have one laying here anyone tell me?

AC500 here and I've tried 2 carbs and they still piss gas out of the overflow drain when given fuel. So lost

Hey there, great video. I rebuilt my 2004 arctic cat 400 top end. Got it all back together and the transmission wouldnt disengage....until I saw ur video on the bearing with the wet clutch having to face out, mine was reversed and caused the exact trouble you described if it was put on backwards. Turned it around and everythings a go. Your video was the only one I found that explaigned the one way bearing. Thanks for the post bud!

if you pull the drive shaft out the front with the diff, its way easier to remove and reinstall the roll pin...

What year polaris sportsman is this carb for? I'm working in a 99 model year and it looks quite a bit different. It starts fine. No problems. It will sit and idle perfect. But when go to give it throttle it dies.

Good video, but you need to slow down. You speak so much, and so fast, that you make a lot of mistakes in what you are calling things, and constantly need to correct yourself.

Just got a Kawasaki Prairie 400 and I know nothing about engines or anything so this maybe a dumb question. The ATV doesn't idle very well and I was going to clean out the carb and watched this video as a "How to" type video and I noticed that you have to take the fuel tank off. What do you do if it is full of fuel? will you have to plug anything to keep fuel from going all over the place when you remove it?

Finally someone I can get info on my Kawasaki 700. Subscribed. By the way what is the best way to drain and replace the engine coolant?

I was just given a 1993 4x4 and would like to go thru the entire ATV. First thing I found is that seems to be stuck in a gear besides neutral because I can't roll it. It turns over but I am sure the carb needs a good cleaning. Any tips or other videos would be appreciated. Rear brakes seem to be locked up and front has no fluid all dried up inside. Gonna need a bit of advice/help.

Excellent information. When I took my carb apart the eclipse and the spacer basically became disconnected cuz when I took the main jet out the needle came out with it. Then the two above parts fell out of the diaphragm. The spring plastic keeper was about an inch of down inside of the spring. Watching your videos and looking all over the internet how can I find out exactly where that clip was supposed to go for my 2008 500 sportsman quad? Thank you
