Really glad I found this channel. I'm quite good with electronics, but I'm a shit programmer. Your servo video enabled me to get my servos running for my esphome devices. The best tutorial about ESPHome I've seen so far about these less common components, which are actually the coolest of them all. I'd really apreciate a similar video about Stepper motors. I've got a project laying around here for some fully custom blinds with custom components I milled and turned myself. The software integration is the hardest part about that for me. What would be really awesome with this project if it was possile to sync the refresh rate with wled sound reactive.

I'm glad you found my channel too (and for the Sub 💖) I DO have a Stepper Motor tutorial (DIY Smart Curtains) ready which will be ideal for your project. As I'm also including Start and End Stop switches/sensors. As for sync-ing these "Flux Capacitor" lights with WLED... you kinda can but we don't have control over the speed of the LEDs going down the lines - Only when they start their run.

just wasted 4h trying to add this integration and make it work (mostly troubleshoot it). Generally github is your friend but not in this case. More often than not, this integration is not working. You can find the exact same logs, sometimes a vague workaround. Tried them all, it simply can't load - so it can't be set up (not even getting to the authentication part).

Hello from Ukraine! Thank you very much for your project, this is exactly what I was looking for. I have a huge Ficus in one room, but I decided to decorate this tree. As I thought, on the ESP8266, the flatness of the attenuation occurs with flickering. Therefore, I immediately changed it to ESP32. There, in the code, it is necessary to replace platform: esp8266_pwm with platform: ledc (I am writing this for those who do not know how to code), and replace the GPIO outputs. LEDC has much more gradations of brightness and dimming is very smooth. Thanks again!
@3ATIVE12 күн бұрын
Thank you Андрій for the insight my friend. 🙏 Indeed, an ESP32 would give better Samples, Fading and smoother Transitions. However, as this was a "simple" project, a D1 Mini (esp8266) seemed enough.

I'm not sure a Continuous, or 360, Servo performs like that. As far as I'm aware they can only be controlled with Speed and Direction. From what you're asking for, It sounds like you need a Stepper Motor.

@3ATIVE22 күн бұрын
Thank you for the high praise and for being a subscriber. 💖 Regarding the "Master" switch: The ESPHome Automation here commands the Air Filters' Fan speed based on the Air Quality sensor. With the addition of this new "Switch" the automation, via the "Else", sends a "0" to the Air Filters' fan speed - Just like opening the window does. TL;DL - No, not the fan in the Vindriktning (Air Quality Sensor) but the fan in the Air Filter.
