@@robertserranoiii1298 I have tried commissions a few times but the customer has backed out every time from sticker shock or because there are official alternatives like Mezco or the upcoming Frazetta Girls that wouldn’t cost much more or a Super7 Conan for less than what I would charge for this custom. I’ve had better luck just making the customs specifically to sell on eBay.

A year ago or more I saw this custom on Reddit and tried to make it but lost steam after I painted the hair black. Still have a headless savage He-Man, haven’t cut the loincloth off yet or anything. Do you happen to have an eBay anywhere where you sell these from time to time? I don’t like how most Conan figures look so old and grizzled. I’d like a more youthful Conan like you’ve made here.
@SargesCustomTutorials24 күн бұрын
@@Koryn_99 I do have an eBay but don’t sell customs all that often. Most of the stuff I make is just for me. Swapping the loincloth and legs is super easy. Painting the hair is really half the work. If you don’t have a regular He-man you can get one on eBay for really cheap. The original release head has a great youthful looking face.

Thank you for the tips. I turned this figure into the mid 80’s Batman who drove the black-blue Batmobile with the bat face built into the front as a slab of armor. He looked like this back then. I used the black knightfall arms and head, I installed the electrified brass knuckles as well because I remember he had something like that back then as an option.

I think i like the long ears better, the smooth neck piece blends in with the smooth cowl very well. The short ear head is too close to the original in terms of just shape, and the detail while it matches the body, doesn’t like right with the smoothness of the neck. I also just don’t like the grimace.

@@gmon78 I don’t know exactly but my understanding is there a lot that have the shorter pegs. The one figure I’ve heard will swap and benefit both is Martian Manhunter as his neck is a little stubby and he’s an alien so his neck can be longer and it makes sense.

It's hilarious how the figure is a Frankenstein's Monster of not just reused parts but also designs the character had. The cape on this figure is more in tune with her current look (though that figure has white eyes instead of all black). Though the mask is a bit of her old but with a tiny mix of her Titans East (which had extra stitching). That's a hint to me that McFarlane is SO gonna re-release her probably as a variant with the white eyes and probably closer Bat symbol in a probable two-pack with Stephanie Brown (Batgirl/Spoiler). I made two custom versions myself. One is an unmasked variant with changeable hands. I used the Batwoman Beyond unmasked variant since she not only was an older mold, but the head looks spot on to Cass's unmasked look. I used some tack I got from buying a third-party spider sense on the head peg (since the pegs are different). The fists do work well but I had to use nail polish to tighten the ball joint. The other custom is a more "comic-accurate" Cass. That one, I used the closed fists and feet on the Batman Rebirth (Jim Gordon) to give her a little more closer to comics look. Now all I need to do is find more tack, since I kind like those Spider-Sense effects. You wouldn't happen to know the exact kind of tack is called? ;^_^
@SargesCustomTutorials5 ай бұрын
I don’t know exactly but I’ve used 3M sticky tack and museum putty and they both work fine. More often I just use hot glue to fill the void as a more semi permanent solution. Hot glue in the hole, petroleum jelly (vasoline) on the peg and move it around while the glue dries. I demonstrate the method in my Comic BVS Batman video towards the end.
