Even at that tempo it is exceptionally difficult. If you master the left hand, that jumps like a frog here and there, the rest is more easy. Absolutely a diploma piece.

I'm so confused by your c minor exercise at 9:20... it sounds like it starts as a natural minor than it changes to melodic minor but in the descending parts where I expected the natural minor. Isn't this supposed to be an exercise when you play just the natural minor or a melodic minor (where the melodic scale is used on the ascending parts of the exercise) instead of mixing the two? I mean, it sounds very good but I don't get the logic behind it.

I am currently re-editing these arrangements. They tend to sound best when the first couple measures are in the natural minor, then some accidentals may be added for the next three bars. When descending, the first two bars are best in natural minor then it may go through some modulations, then it return to natural minor at the end. There are actually many ways you can do it. Playing it all in the natural minor is really boring.

@@BachScholar I was trying to do the melodic minor, that means using the raised 6th and 7th for all the ascending fragments and the natural minor for all the descending parts. I'm not sure if it's a good way to do it, but it seemed the most logical thing to do. At first I thought that's what you were doing, before realizing you're mixing the two scales. I also was confused by the fact that you're using sometime the melodic minor for the descending parts.

The tune reminds me of the theme music of The Wombles. I wonder if this piece inspired it. Very nicely played here too, I might add.

Hello, I am searching around online for information of the level of Clementi pieces, I can play quite well, at moderate pace, most of the op 36 sonatinas, would these op 37 and 38 ones be recommended for next level of difficulty or is there some other Clementi pieces that are at an inbetween level of difficulty to try first? Thanks,!

When I read social anthropology we read Jill Doubisch article "You are what you eat: Religious Aspects of the Health Food Movement" that analyzed the modern health food movement and how it categorize and moralize food in the way you often find in religious factions. These movements are completely irrational but you wouldn't be able to tell if you are conditioned to interpret the world like they do.
