they always take everything from us and claim it as their own. It is not fair they say we have not contributed to anything but yet in the music and fashion world you can see it.

Looks like blatant appropriation to me. I've not followed her career so I'm seeing some of this for the first time, granted. But like the video pointed out, she's the only one profiting from it & a lot of it was using straight up cultural stereotypes. It's these 2 considerations that make it cross the line from "appreciation" to appropriation, imo

Oh please, this is America, we're a melting pot of many cultures. Replace appropriation with appreciation. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

I am mexican and honestly i think she just really loved fashion maybe she did not show it in the right ways but it was just cultural appreciation gone too way 😅 she never disrespected anyone’s culture but i do think the native american video was odd but besides that everything was just her being into fashion and different cultures

All imma say is Gwen’s appropriation is sus but you have to admit those Harajuku Girls went on to have amazing careers more than most dancers tend to have tbh. Was it right? That’s up to the Japanese culture to decide but at least some good came out of it tbh 🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️

Laquan's story is ultra inspiring. Imagine applying to the "only 2 best schools" in the industry, not getting in either, and still making it anyway. LOOOOVE THAT! Especially for us not so much in the position to A. Live in NYC to attend these schools, B. Afford these particular schools or C. Even have the (whatever strict requirements) to get into these schools.

People just don’t understand that about me because I was already thinking about the way that she was dressing up before she did it,,,, I have a beautiful soul and second cousin who was born on my birthday 🎂 and she is 2 years older than me,,,, but people just don’t understand that she is 2 years older then me,,,my family is too cute and coool but I love them 😍 and they are the best friends and people that never leave or even let me go cause there’s nothing wrong 😑 with me and my family and grandparents BLOOD 🩸

I think she might have entered the urban clothing market too late. Baby Phat,Apple Bottoms, and jLo were already established. And you never saw her wearing any of the stuff. So it didn't seem like she believed in the products.

I think they need to be honest that Pebbles came up with the concept for their first album in their first image they may have continued on without her but when they first came out the condoms and the graffiti and everything it was pebbles it’s on record

I am Latina and I love luxurious video and all Gwen Stefanie's fashion and videos.. Idk why some people get offended by everything and on behalf of others... even the dancer's love, angel, music and baby say they all had a great time on that period of their life and dont regret anything... the one that was American 4th generation Japanese say she was happy to learn about her ancestry visiting japon with gwen and learning Japanese from the other 3 girls.

So if you have a separate budget for the clothes and things that you're pulling for your client and then you're right and defeated you charge the client is separate the budget that you have for the clothes you can actually buy those clothes so that the designers can get paid as well because I understand that stylus you guys need to make money but designers we also need to make money too so if there's a separate budget for your fee and for the clothes and you can actually take that budget for the clothes and you can buy those clothes so that the designer can also make money.

Not sure about some of his lines. The ones where it looks like homeless era and charging $100-$200 for basic items like t-shirts and hoodies. Even the newest $20 drops is just basic baggy oversized shirts, hoodies, and sweat pants.
