The Vortex Blade Slope is worth a try. MSRP is $400, but Dick's, Sheels, and other places sell it for $250. Glass is super clear. They aren't new to range finders. They are just new to golf specific range finders. All of my hunting optics are Vortex. Haven't had to use the warranty yet, but I've heard good things on their customer service.

Yeah unfortunately at this point I can't either. I was told the issues were fixed, but yet since this review I've had so many people reach out and tell me balls are still cracking. The 2024 TaylorMade TP5 doesn’t have that heaviness. Granted, it’s a 5-piece so that might be the reason.

Great review. I bought a rangefinder earlier this year. It was on sale. It has all I needed. I just take it out every once in awhile just to confirm my known yards on local course. I break it out on courses I visit outside of my regularly played course. I'm won't pay a small ransom for something I don't use every round. I still like using the old noodle to calculate what I'm seeing. Thanks for the review.
@GolfBallAddictКүн бұрын
I'll tell you what, once you've used a rangefinder and gotten used to it it's hard to not have one. Yesterday we went out and our battery was dead on our backup and our primary was still at home because I did this review. We were guessing all day and multiple times we were at the front of the green when the flag was at the back. It definitely does make a small difference

@@GolfBallAddict a range finder has definitely helped me get around the course. I would advise any golfer to have one with them. I definitely use it on new courses to me. Wow, sub $100 laser rangefinder? I would not be surprised if this is post-patent old Bushnell model with few new tech. But if it works, why not? How is optic quality & accuracy compared to big name brands? I have Nikon for many years; optic & accuracy is off the chart.

I've heard nothing but great things about Cigman, so it's good to see them getting some love on the channel. I've recently tried out the Red Tiger, Bestsee, and Aofar GX-2S pro. Red Tiger stopped working after 2 rounds, Bestsee didn't make it to the course, and I ended up keeping the Aofar. The thing I always suggest whenever people ask me about my rangefinder is that they are all pretty good these days, but man make sure you're buying one through Prime. If my Aofar dies on me I'll definitely give Cigman a try.

Great review. I've definitely become a convert when it comes to using one ball for putting. When I recently switched to the vice pro plus I fell in love with how the ball stuck the green like a magnet, but putting with it was light years different than what I had been using. Not bad at all, and I really enjoy it now, but it lacked the pop I was used to and there was a learning curve for sure. PXG seems like a cool company and it'll interesting to see how they develop over time, but it would take Vice discontinuing the pro plus for me to switch at the moment. Got to love the honeymoon phase.
@GolfBallAddictКүн бұрын
That honeymoon phase has lasted a long time for me as well. I reviewed those balls 6 months ago and I still use them on the course and am are amazed at how well they perform

@samuelmartin11721 сағат бұрын
@GolfBallAddict they for sure jump off the club. Which helped me a ton sunk 3 from the 15-20 foot range that I would have left short. The guy I golf with tried them as well and he was consistently getting a jump and rolling past the green. Distance on them was great last drive went 294 straight as an arrow. For someone who's goal is to just break 100 this played well to my weaknesses. But this video made them so much more playable or I would have played a little worse. For sure have me one extra bounce or little roll when hitting a green.

@golfballaddict How would your rate your golf swing at this point compared to 6-8 months prior? Do you think an improved swing and strike would impact the ball performance? Just sayin, some of your more recent content shows ball data that would be considered outside your norm. Thanks
@GolfBallAddictКүн бұрын
That's a good question. Honestly it's a dual-edged sword. I've increased my swing speed and been able to hit the ball a lot farther. However my accuracy has gone down quite a bit. I struggle with two strong of a draw and up left a lot. Sometimes even the occasional hook. I'm getting it worked out slowly but surely.

20 handicap here (I don’t lose balls per say, my putting game is absolutely atrocious) I tried these today, and man these were a ROCKET off the club. Putting with it was amazing in terms of feel. I did a 95 yard pitch shot with my 54. One bounce, and stopped; about 3 yards of rollout. Would I play it from now on? Probably not, however I need to play them more to see. I love the ERC Softs/Bridgestone BRXS/Z Stars. These aren’t in my top 3 however I would buy them before spending $55/dzn. I would recommend, short game feel amazing. The pure joy on your face when a golf ball just works for you is why the this silly sport keeps us coming back. But I do have to say that asking buyers to shell out over 100 dollars for golf balls (to get the best price) for a direct to consumer brand is a very big leap of faith. I play the original PXG ball and like: it. It was really firm. I saw some estimates online between 98-103 compression. It didn’t play quite that hard though. The cover was 7/10 durability on original. I have heard the new Xtreme tour and Tour X are actually softer than original and cover is better. How do you compare this to original PXG ball?
@GolfBallAddict3 күн бұрын
It definitely does feel a tad softer. I don't know about a whole bunch but you can tell there's a significant improvement made. I think the biggest thing for me is the improvement in forgiveness and consistency. They really took a lot of the dispersion away and even increase the ball mile per hour speed quite a bit.
