Went and got fitted for pxg clubs sunday before last. The v42 putter is what I went with for the putter. I used mine first and struggled with the green at the fitting, then I tried the v42. Made 7 in a row at 7 feet with 6" of break, moved back to 15 and made 12/20 and the ones I missed were all within 12" just like all of yours. Best feeling putter I've ever tried. Feels so balanced and easy to control. At $120, it's probably the best bang for your buck putter. I get mine in the mail tomorrow.

I have a face balanced mallet with a superstroke pistol grip and it's perfect for me. I wouldn't be happy at all with this PXG. One of the spec's that caught my eye was the standard lie angle is 70 degrees. I thought most are 72. Of course, this can usually be adjusted. All the more reason to be custom fit for the putter. Good vid Nick.

Absolutely. Putter fitting is so important.

I have a PXG putter. Spent $199 and I was able to experience the fitting session at no additional cost. Great to try a variety of PXG putter heads-shafts and grips. As soon as they put on the pistol grip, I fell in love with that grip. I also ended up with a double bend shat based on my putting style. I have been gaming the PXG Gunboat since the beginning of this season. . It is one of their heaviest mallet putters. I have been happy with my putting and my choice :)

That's awesome. Thank you for sharing your experience. I honestly would love the opportunity to test a thick or heavier putter from them. It seems like I might be able to get the ball to travel a little farther

I play the 0211 driver, irons right now. Would like to eventually go all PXG. I love the golf balls. I like the fitting experience. I want their wedges. The sugar daddy is out of my price range but I have hit the ones they have one their website for $149 and they better than words can express.

That’s interesting on the distance thing, I feel that way with my Scotty Newport compared to my ai one jailbird mini. The Jailbird mini is hot off the face, and certain fast green courses I won’t use it, and pull out the Scotty to slow it down a bit.
@GolfBallAddict2 ай бұрын
That's actually a really great way to do it. It's so rare that I actually plan on fast greens that I need something that comes a little hotter off the face

Hi Nick, this putter seems to be excellent for the Amazon price. I am sure, playing here in Thailand, the ball should reach the hole so I would not worry about your final comment.

Are the greens typically faster in thailand?

If you can borrow a Lab DF3 to test that would be awesome. Being that the price is crazy would it be a better investment than say a new driver and would most likely be in you bag for much longer.

I've gotten to test a couple lab putters here and there, I'm always just absolutely blown away.

Kinda reminds me of a knock off Wilson 8802, love the price tho. I got the Wilson Infinite Windy City blade for around the same price and can’t seem to get away from it for the value and performance

Sometimes I miss my Wilson powder. I mean I still have it so I can always go back to it, but everything since just hasn't been the same.

Nothing wrong with going back to something that was more comfortable. That’s why I don’t sell my old golf equipment as soon as I replace it. Made that mistake before.
@mikestephens61942 ай бұрын
Had one, gave it away. I also had trouble with getting the ball to the hole. Seems like it has a dead head, no pop I die the ball, so I need food feel. I thought it had promise, but after 4 or 5 rounds, I have up.
@GolfBallAddict2 ай бұрын
I would have to agree with you. I actually don't mind the feel, but I know that that feel is what's causing the ball to not roll as far. When you have a very soft dead feel, it almost always absorbs the golf ball a little too much.

not a huge fan of those style putters. I think the toe hang would be just too much. Love my Scotty Phantom 9.5

Hey, I gotta tell ya, that is one ugly putter! Looks the the handle from a stamping press at the Dearborn Ford plant. It (the look) is really subjective isn't it? BTW, the $500 putter market is a racket, or at least I think so. I wonder if a lot of these putters are purchased just to show buddies that the owners can afford them. Sort of like with women and Chanel purses. As the saying goes, fools (and golfers) and their money are soon parted.
@GolfBallAddict2 ай бұрын
Yeah they're definitely a statement piece like a rolex. The style of this putter is definitely hate or love. There's no in between. People I showed it to either absolutely liked it a lot or couldn't stand it. 😂
