@steedaautosportsКүн бұрын
For this particular part, no. But if you're installing the Subframe Alignment Kit at the same time (which is recommended as installation is the same process), then you will need an alignment.

No extended studs yet! This is our 19x11 square setup. They have a +53 offset and we run a 1" spacer up front.

You need to make a revised version of the strut tower brace that will clear a Whipple.
@steedaautosportsКүн бұрын
We made one once for a Steeda Mach 1. Even with the aftermarket hood the car had, the clearance just isn't really there between the Whipple and the hood.

Does the Steeda 1-piece driveshaft (Automatic) cause NVH?
@steedaautosportsКүн бұрын
We use a foam-filled design that helps eliminate NVH like gear whine and knockback. In our testing and various gear combinations we have not experienced an increase in NVH. But every car's rear gears are setup slightly different and we're not going to tell you it's 100% guaranteed to not add NVH.

Just the fact that a company who can build the Ford GT cant remove poorly engineered wheel hop in the R&D process speaks volumes about Ford... I grew up in Dearborn, bought my first Fox Body Mustang GT at Village Ford on Michigan Ave Dearborn, Got out of the Military, went to work in the auto industry selling high performance auto parts & even did auto restyling throughout the metro Detroit area creating unique trim levels for dealerships... My 90 fox body had wheel hop... A new GT500 has wheel hop... makes you wonder how this is even possible... STEDA is an outstanding company but how much more weight do you you need to all the already bloated Mustang to make it whole???

I tell ya what, Sometimes it may take a couple extra days to get a package from Steeda and that a lot of times is out of their control.. But Steeda products are by far the best.. Everything they sell they use or have used in some kind of way.. Their suspension parts are by far the best over everyone else out there.. To each his own but I have also found ways to part together different Steeda parts to get a really good result in handling and the rear suspension as far as getting the power down.. You can drop a whole second in your quarter mile times just doing the Starter Stop the Hop kit and almost 2 seconds with other parts like a Lighter drive shaft, lighter wheels/tires, can cut 50lb's and another 50lb's off the car by doing an Xpipe and a High flow Axle Back too can get you almost a 2 second drop, without a tune...

While I wish the best for other Ford Fusion owners, our 2013 hasn't been horrible but there's tell tale signs we need to get the hell out of dodge with it within the next few years. We are the 2nd owners and it was gifted to us by family who gave it to us in their will in 2017 with only 13k miles on it. It's been okay but there has been 9 recalls and about 8 years into it with routine maintenance and stuff things are just not right. The 4.3" display in the middle just randomly died one day, and it sucks because that's were the clock and controls are for all the media stuff. So many tpm sensors have gone out, and ours had the major belt issue that was covered on the recall. We don't want to look a gift horse in the mouth though, and are very grateful for how it's been for what's pretty much been a free car, but maybe it's confirmation bias but our other car is a 2001 4runner and there have been things on the Ford that needed to be done and replaced in year 6~7 that the Toyota still is on original parts or didn't have issues until 17+ years into it's life. Even things like Cabin light lasted twice as long on the Toyota than it did on the Fusion. We can probably get another 6~7 years out of 2001 4rrunner and run it for 30 years, but the Fusion feels like it only has maybe 2~3 years at the most despite only having 125k miles on it. Still keeping the Fusion though, just got a 2023 4runner and will try to milk the Ford for 5~6 years on low usage as a backup car just in case.

I never liked the look of the 05-09 lowered for some reason. I think it’s because of its beefy exterior design. Instead of lowering mine, I put Ford Performance (Eibach) sways bars front and rear, rear Bilstein B6 shocks, front Bilstein B6 struts, GT500 strut mounts, a Bullitt styke strut tower brace, and GT500 wheels with 275 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4 on the rear and 255 on the front and this car rides like a dream and is flat and level in turns. It’s like a completely different car. The biggest factor in improving handling is not the lowering springs but upgrading the sway bars.

@steedaautosports4 күн бұрын
The vertical links with the black bushings may add NVH. We have a version with red bushings that are still stiffer than stock, but not nearly as much as the Delrin (P/N: 555-4137). As far as all the other parts, they will not add any NVH.

You'll be good with everything we talked about here! The only thing to look out for is you may have to grease your sway bar bushings a little more often depending on how much you drive the car.
