I'm going to build a stand myself, and yours looks great. However, that looks more like a piece of i beam to me rather than angle iron, so that's what I'm going to use.

I've had that HF vise mounted on a post in my shop for at LEAST 12 years , and I wouldn't even want to talk about the punishment it's taken ... The only rule is no hammer bigger than a two pounder , L O L ... These mechanic / machinists vises are NOT designed to be hammered on ... If you gotta do that , get a leg vise or an anvil !!

25/64-ths might be good for many fittings but if you're using high volume fittings or another less commom size, you're well advised to do a bit of experimenting first. Good vid! Thanks!

This is clever ! I will be making this now searching for a bed frame, I just wish...the end could be bent slightly upward.....so as not to have any possibility of the tools falling if bumped. Mine worked great when i got it but some corroded wire went thru it and it has never been the same. I got new gun...the flex gun and sleeve obviously but it fizzles out every few seconds ...i dont suspect that its a wire feeding problem though

I wouldn't touch these unless I was flat broke. Awhile back they were measured for correct tolerances (minimum opening/maximum opening for specified size), and they were wildly out of specification. That's why people round bolts with these.

2:02 That’s not where the wobbly comes from. A new frame won’t fix it either. Your inserts are a good quick answer. I have a competing fake brand chinese twin to yours on order right now. I’m going to use a short length of 1/4” wall square tube and polish down a chunk of 1/4” wall to fit tightly inside. That fabricates a square shouldered guide to weld the die pin keeper to, off center slightly to so it stays oriented and true by forcing contact with the sleeve just like an offset wrist pin does in a motor. I make a plate to attach the upper wheel and and gusset to remove stretch. That should let it perform well and make the bottom wheel fast so it doesn’t walk or fall out. FWIW Department

I just bought this from Amazon and my only issue is each drawer was dented from where it’s locked into place, obvious mishandling of the package so I’m returning it.

This is the second one in the world I’ve seen besides mine since I’ve gotten it, do you have any idea where it’s made? I love mine it’s taken abuse in my younger days and sits safely on my workbench now.
