Bear in mind that you lose a *_lot_* of flash light power when you bounce rather than shooting direct. I don't like soft light or diffused flash. Harsher flash has a lot more 'zing' but you must know what you're doing, to get the best results. Soft/diffused/bounced light covers up your errors. Hard light will not.

But, if you use that circle diffuser, you will have a lot of light pass through it and refract. Therefore leaving you with little light bouncing back. Not so? What if I use the silver surface reflector circle?

I first and foremost want to thank you for sharing your knowledge. I have purchased my first speedlight TT560, as my budget will allow but happened across your channel. I have subscribed and the uses verified some methods I was wondering about and of course introduced to some new techniques. Thank you again...

Should it be mentioned that when you are using that flash mounted "miniature softbox" you are blocking the flash's sensors?

Although it is a very well done tutorial, you could have made it even better by showing sample photographs. For most amateur photographers the inability to see how your techniques work make it very hard to visualize what you are teaching.
