Is there a mod that fixes the mirrors so that they only show the inside of the rooms like in The Sims 3 and 4, in The Sims 2 I don't know if you've noticed that they show the outside when in cut walls mode?

@BellaDovah I installed a no CD mod, which did let the game "launch." The game crashes with a blank error message. When I try to hit that install button the window says "Install failed." I also installed the other stuff you mentioned. Maybe something is set up just a little funky to make it not work. The No CD mod has a file to replace the Sims 2 file. Without it there, though, it asks for a CD. Everything is Excluded from antivirus

I want to add a note, the AMD fix on graphics rules maker has an incorrect description. It says it is for HD 7000 cards and older. I had horribly slow gameplay and stutters. I have a RX 7900xtx. Enabling this fix fixed my framerate and it runs great now.

I downloaded the sims 2 on old games download before and I downloaded graphics rules maker and the 4gb patch and updated settings and it goes through the intro but it says application has now terminated it will close and it did that with everything I did

@@tracyracy not that I know of, but I don’t know why you’d ever want to do this? There are no downsides to compressing🤔 Unless you mean merged files perhaps? In which case I also don’t know of a way to unmerge but thats why I have started keeping the log/report that is generated (the txt with the same name as the file) in a separate folder in my documents for references, and in some cases I will also keep a backup of the unmerged files elsewhere too

I'm new to the sims 2, I exclusively play the sims 3 and have never tried any other game but i downloaded the sims 2 from osab's installer some months ago, played in pleasantview with some families and stopped because it was a bit overwhelming and new. But i want to pick it up again and I'm learning so much about how to use the mods I've already downloaded, plus i think i want to play rotationally in veronaville. So, thanks

@@the10th_muse82 change the lot imposter setting in RPC to optimized, but you need to then load each lot, move an object (even if you then put it right back where it was), then save and exit to neighbourhood for it to update to the higher quality one, so you won’t immediately see a difference after turning the setting on, you have to go through each lot individually

How much cc can you fit in Sims 2 please? Do you have to keep it low, like sims 3? Does it lag?

There's no hard limit, it depends on your computer, the kind of CC you use and also measures you take to optimize it. Mods are usually small files that wouldn't cause lag, but you can run into conflict issues. You could have hundreds of recolors without issue, but high poly cc and hair cc are big files that can be a lot more demanding. I'm coming here because I got a lag in the lodging from vacation when I'm using Speed 3 because there are probably too many sims. I guess it's from the TS2 system itself (LazyDuchess also stated that if I'm not wrong). I will try to experiment with RPC because this is my first time using it. We'll see :D

I downloaded the George file to run the rpc but having issues with downloading cc it isn't showing up in the game

@@DaishaunBrown-k2j the two aren’t related. The downloads folder in the program files where the exe is only for RPC asi mods, package mods need to be in a folder called ‘Downloads’ inside your Documents/EA GAMES/The Sims 2. You also need to turn the settings on in game to allow custom content and to show custom content in the catalogs.

@@BellaDovah Well... I thought the graphic recognition is already suffice but I'll check that later because it's working fine for now. Maybe I can push it again, who knows... I actually want to quick dip TS series because I finished quick dipping TS1 Complete Collection yesterday and couldn't wait to move to TS2 and replay TS3 (I love-hate TS3 because it's buggy mess especially with my last WA save file that went corrupt). I played the TS1 base game only like a lot in 15 years ago so it was fun to try its full content until Makin' Magic. The Sims series is actually memorable for me so I can't wait to fully enjoy TS2 because this is actually the one that I didn't really play much. Sorry for this long comment haha :')

As much as I love the idea of having more stuff show up in CAS... I hate Clean UI. Do you know if there's a Maxis-match (my beloved blurple colors) mod that has the CAS features of Clean UI?

I get that :) Basically what you want to do is go to the Clean UI tumblr page, look for the 'Included CC' section, and download all of the mods listed there (except for the TS3 style mood backgrounds) instead of the Clean UI itself. Alternatively, there is a alpha version of a clean-style UI but in blue you might be interested in trying (I would probably personally switch to this if it was fully finished): simstate.tumblr.com/post/693851081873195008/random-ui-experiments-alpha Hope that helps! :)

@@Eddie-explains you can buy the super collection on the apple store, but this doesn’t include all expansion packs as some were never made for macs, so the only other option would be using a windows emulator I believe and I don’t know much about that

@@advisko you can’t really, only by playing the game in a lower resolution than your monitor, so I play 1080p on a 1440p monitor so its not as small. There are mods like the clean UI and widescreen UI that makes some UI elements wider to make better use of the screen though

I'll be checking out several: Beds, Bugs and Bloopers Fix (omg that sounds amazing?); Age & Pet option for teleporters (I had been on the fence with this one, but you sold me when you said it was an updated version of the Pick'n'mix one so I won't lose that functionality); Vacation Benefit Applier (I'm thinking it could be interesting to try out at the playable hospitals among other things); and Door Adjusters (these will be great for machinima, and also for un-owned community lots with back rooms where I don't want sims).

Hi! This video was really helpful. I know it's old, but Turn Ons & Turn Offs Adjuster doesn't work. I cannot see it anywhere in game. I tried searching for it online, but couldn't find anything. Can you help? I'll really appreciate it.

@@ElleGeorge-q6y ah I didn’t realise you had the discs, I thought you wanted to obtain it another way as osab guides through, so you don’t need that actually, just install your discs in the order they were released, and between installing each one, install the corresponding patch: modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:TS2_Patches then once they’re all installed just follow through my guide😊 if you can’t get it to work with your discs then you might want to consider osab’s installation instead but I’d imagine you’d be able to use your discs then get the game stable with my guide! Hope that helps

@@quickentertainme not sure exactly in what way you mean but there are several mods that help with this, one that comes to mind is Care Don’t Wave: simnopke.tumblr.com/unpublished but there’s also some that make them smarter about looking after babies/toddlers etc

@@SeiMiura you’re welcome!🥰 Hm I was under the impression that it was a replacement for the original towel mod lite but it could be that its only the bit effecting children, does it work for children or still no? If so it might be that you need the original mod too to affect other ages, but thats not what I understood. Otherwise, it might be a conflict, such as ‘dress me correctly’, check hcdu+!
