Agent Orange is one of the most carcinogenic chemicals known to humanity. It is the basis for all of the defoliation done in Vietnam during the war. Most of the veterans who were exposed to it have some form of cancer.

I'm going to answer the Eagles question here and now. They couldn't use the eagles to get over the mountain or to go to Mordor because the Eagles are their own race. They aren't Middle earth's airline. They can't be controlled or ordered around. They may do a favor or show up to a battle now ant then, but you can't "use" them any more than you could in real life. They are also kind of powerful beings and shouldn't be around the ring too much. Also, flying isn't stealth. They'd be seen in the air and shot or attacked. As you will see later, Sauron has his own airforce. Lastly, that wouldn't make a very good story.

I hope you enjoy these movies enough to someday read the books. They are long, and have lots of lore, but in a beautiful, comfortable way. Like a fireside tale. I can't really explain it, but LotR starts out as a children's story and then grows in impact and significance. You have to start reading like a child listening to a good yarn, not like someone excited to hear about a big battle or an epic moment. Read for the beauty of the small moments, not just trying to get to the ending.

This knowledge I give will help make sense of the future movies ahead. Gandalf is Maia (Spirit) named Olorin created by Eru’s Thought (extensions of Eru Îlluvatar himself whilst they had their own free will and individuality. He essentially got the chance to experience and study other parts of himself through this.) among the other Ainur before the Years of the Lamps roughly 9,000+ years before arriving in Middle-earth; In Valinor he was known as Olórin.(Remember though he formally existed before the world existed and his form becoming Gandalf hadn’t happened yet. He was sent to Middle-earth in human form around the year 1000 of the Third Age. So his many forms had different ages in length of existing. He’s very cool right! Could he get any cooler!? 😎❤️ Another thing is when he arrived in middle earth he was disguised as an elf and lived among them whilst they were unknowing and he became to be known as Mithrandir to the Quendi However, there is a much longer answer. Like Sauron(former name is Mairon) and the other Istari (the order sent around the same time and of which he was appointed leader but he being who he is and a student of the Vala by the name Nienna and Lorien(Irmo). Gandalf was a Maiar, an angelic spirit created by Eru at the beginning of time and therefor one of the many Ainur who sang the world into being and Eru just helped their creation take shape and basically stated “behold YOUR creation” and basically what happens in that world goes sort of preordained as by that song eons ago so really only the ages after Dagor Dagorath will truly be an age that isn’t full of strife and sadness and longing. But in this remade world the beings will retain their gained wisdom and now have the ability to truly enjoy it is how I recall the wording to convey. Also. These lamps are what were before even the two trees. These were Giant mountains but also like light houses but housing a great power but it may have also been where two special Maia lived that helped in the creation in the sun and moon after Melkor With eldrich terror Ungoliant killed the trees, so yea Arien is the Maia who basically exists with the sun and her brother and or lover of sorts is the one who wanders with and guides the moon.

The Tower bit is explained ONLY in the Unfinished Tales Book: In [manuscript] C The Black Riders arrived at the Gate of Isengard while Gandalf was still a prisoner in the tower. In this account, Saruman, in fear and despair, and perceiving the full horror of service to Mordor, resolved suddenly to yield to Gandalf, and to beg for his pardon and help. Temporizing at the Gate, he admitted that he had Gandalf within, and said that he would go and try to discover what he knew; if that were unavailing, he would deliver Gandalf up to them. Then Saruman hastened to the summit of Orthanc - and found Gandalf gone. Away south against the setting moon he saw a great Eagle flying towards Edoras. See, the thing is he was always master of studying the enemy and even being able to think like they do to always know exactly the best ways to handle ever situation and so on, but the thing is he didn't just become the enemy, he at this time in a sense for once actually grew afraid of him, probably Sauron did what Sauron did with Finrod Felagund(Galadriel’s elder brother who by the way was very important in the legendarium) which basically widdled Saruman with various visions of the past and future until it wore him down.

deeper lore version for you: Galadriel's gift to Gimli has deeper meaning behind it, like most things in this movie and reflects the expanded lore of the middle earth universe. Galadriel is one of the 2-3 most powerful and wise elves remaining in Middle Earth since the time the land was young. She was born in a place called Valinor, or the Undying land... which is basically the place of residence of the Valar, the local pantheon, the local "gods" as you may call them. Back then, the world was not illuminated by the sun, the moon and the stars, but rather by 2 trees of gold and silver, Telperion and Laurëlin that lit the world before the sun and moon were born from their last flower and fruit as they were basically killed by Melkor. It is said that Galadriel's hair had somehow captured some of the shine of those two trees. Her uncle Fëanor, who was a great king of the Elven people and also arguably their greatest craftsman to ever live, asked/demanded that she give him a lock of hair, so that he could use it to fashion 3 gems that would shine of the same light as the trees. Sensing his pride and arrogance, she refused his demand, tree times. He stopped asking and made the gems anyway, managing to complete the task he had set for himself even without her hair. Around these 3 gems, the possession of which became the driving force for many of the great events in the world, entire wars that lasted for centuries exploded, and other events. The gems actively shaped the fate of the races of middle earth to the point that the aforementioned Valar got involved directly. During these times, events surrounding the gems brought about the traditional enmity between Dwarves and Elves... the same enmity that Gimli still feels towards them. That enmity however does not survive his encounter with the wise Galadriel, whom Gimli basically falls platonically in love with. By giving him 3 of her hair, Galadriel is opening a door, offering an olive branch that might one day close the gap that divides these two races. Legolas, himself being an Elven prince and centuries old, knows of the story through his father Thranduil and grandfather Oropher, as it shaped the lives of all Elves, and his subtle smile is possibly the first act of acknowledgment and reconciliation. it is also a way for Peter Jackson, the director of the film, to give a nod to all of the fans who know these facts and backstories... a way to make us feel seen, and to make us appreciate just how deeply the makers of the film respect the books and larger universe created by Tolkien. The thing with the hair may seem weird, but there is a significance to it in real life as well as in the lore of the story. In real life, it was not uncommon for wives, fiancés, or even girlfriends to give their men (who were going off to war), a lock of their hair as a keepsake, particularly in WWI, which Tolkien fought in. The lore part of it comes into play in The Silmarillion, Tolkien's tales of the creation of Arda, the Undying Lands of Valinor, and Middle Earth. Galadriel is many, many thousands of years old, and was born in Valinor before the sun and moon were even created. At the time, the world was lit by two trees, one gold and one silver which would shine at different times from each other, but would shine together once a day when one would fade and the other brighten. Galadriel's hair was said to look like the light of the mingled light from the two trees, which may have inspired Feanor, a master craftsman and heir to the high king of the Noldor, to craft the Silmaril's which were three jewels that captured the light of the two trees, one golden light, one silver light, and one co-mingled light. Fëanor had a bit of a thing for Galadriel and begged her for her hair three different times, which she rejected because she could perceive the inner darkness of his heart and rejected him, which made them "un-friends" after that. There is a lot more to the lore than that, so this is the super crib-notes version. But the point is, it was VERY significant that she granted Gimli three of her hairs to a dwarf, when she would not to the son of her king many thousands of years ago.

To clarify things about Elrond(Who is decently 9000 years old by this current era. Born in the first age) and therefore his Twin Brother Elros were half elven twin brothers who can choose to be mortal or immortal because of their parents(Eärendil and Elwing) both half elven made a great sacrifice and went to Valinor to ask for help which lead to the greatest events in the early first and second age. Instead of being punished, the valar listened to them, that led to a great hosts of Valar and Maiar And Vanyar Elves went to Middle Earth that laid waste to Beleriand. After the War Of Wrath, the valar rewarded them for their sacrifices. They can choose to be elf or men, including their children. They chose immortally, but never return to Middle Earth because they thought that their twin sons had died. But they didnt die. Elrond chose to be immortal while his twin brother Elros chose to be mortal. He founded the Kingdom of Numenor. He lived in Numenor Island and blessed with a long life that include his descendants Those men who fought for the war were rewarded a long life but not their families or children. Only the family of Elrond can choose to be immortal or mortal in which Arwen did. Aragorn is the direct descendant of Elros, thats why he has a long life. The average lifespan of a Numenorean at their height was a few hundred years maximum! Now remember too that half elves are a common thing and whenever they did come together it was always significant !❤❤❤ Remember this is the SHORT version, there are so many moving parts that will make you want to dive into the books or the audio books or even do reaction videos to the famous lore videos by the biggest lore channels out there! When you’re done the trilogy try doing reaction videos just like Moviejoob did now with the lore recently as well as OmarioRPG. I recommend videos by GirlNextGondor and The Red Book, and Tolkien Untangled and especially Men Of The West. Many other cool ones I’ll recommend in the comments section of those reaction videos you do from Tolkiens Legendarium lore videos. They are super engaging. You’ll be in love. Nothing would have existed if Tolkiens works never hit the light of day as they were meant to stay private and sometimes be shared with his children and so on. No game of thrones. No Skyrim. No ElderScrolls, no dungeons&dragons. None of it. Not even Star Wars. Not even Harry Potter!

There are lots of things I don't like about these re-releases, but the one that is the worst is that they felt the need to put the Jabba scene in. It comes off so awkward because when it was originally shot Jabba was a human. But more importantly, their conversation just completely repeats the conversation Han just had with Greedo. One of those scenes is unnecessary, and the first one is much better

I think you might be the first person I've ever really noticed that picked up on the fact that Wormtounge was a smooth talker. Most of a lot of what he said wouldn't be so obviously sketchy if he didn't look and behave the way he did. He got his nickname because he warmed his way into the king's council by charisma and such long before there was any Sarumanic influence. I think he's so over the top in the movie to show that he's so confident in sermons control of the king he doesn't have to hide that much.

"Darth" is simply a shortened form of the title "Dark Lord of the Sith". That`s why Jedi tend to call Sith by either their original names or "Darth" and the Sith and their allies call them "Lord".(Mace despite being a Jedi master mockingly calls Palpatine "My lord" because his planet was once enslaved by the Old Sith Empire.)

General Grievous is not a robot, he`s a Kaleesh cyborg. The Kaleesh were a reptilian warrior society who were occupied by the Republic and Jedi during the early years of the Clone Wars, causing many of them to develop an intense hatred for the Jedi and Republic so they became droid commanders for the Confederacy of Independent Systems or Separatists.

Palpatine/Sidious/The Emperor had three main influences: Darth Bane, the creator of the Rule of Two, Darth Revan, a Sith Lord during the Mandalorian War era of the Old Republic who became the first Grey Jedi(An ancient group of Jedi who were considered heretics by the Grand Council for their willingness to use Dark Side abilities in service of the Light) and once split his soul into a Dark Side and Light Side half and last but not least his own master Darth Plagueis whose mastery of the midichlorians to ressurrect the dead he envied so much he killed Plagueis in his sleep.

The first Sith Lord was Exar Kun, a Jedi Padawan who fell to the Dark Side because of his master Ulic-Qel Droma`s ineffectiveness and aloofness which he came to view as stemming from Jedi and Republic indoctrination. He also invented Darth Maul`s dual-bladed lightsaber though it was only "bled" and turned red centuries later. For eons, the conflict between the Jedi and Sith was at a stalemate until Darth Bane conceived the Rule of Two which both paralleled the Jedi`s master-padawan dynamic as well as turning the Sith`s greatest weakness:Their penchant for betrayal and infighting into an opportunity for power:"Two there must be,no more,no less,a master to wield power and an apprentice to crave it!And should the master fall to the apprentice, he shall take on a new apprentice of his own to take his place."

Also, the Sith were originally a species of tribal, red-skinned Dark Siders called Sith Purebloods. The Old Republic and Old Jedi Order hunted them to the brink of extinction and many of their descendants such as the Zabraks(Darth Maul`s species)were turned to the Light Side against their wills.

Most Sith are from an order of Dark Jedi who rebelled against the rigid constraints of the Old Jedi Order and particularly what they saw as Jedi abandoning the will and mysteries of the Force for the rules of an inefficient and chaotic Republic which they sought to replace with their own Sith Empire to restore order to the galaxy through fear and force. The tragic irony being most Sith like Anakin were former slaves who turned to the Dark Side to attain freedom and love but their inability to let go of those they sought to possess drove them insane and they ended up destroying those they turned for to begin with.

In the lore, Jedi younglings and counselors generally start off with white sabers representing the Jedi Order`s desire for peace, balance and impartiality. Blue sabers are used by Jedi guardians and most padawans(Apprentices)representing calm, focus and discipline. Purple sabers represent Jedi who struggle with the Dark Side within themselves, usually Sith defectors which as you can probably imagine are extremely rare as it is far easier for a lightsider to fall to darkness than be redeemed from it. Green sabers usually favored by Jedi masters and particularly skilled Knights represent the harmony of all life in the living and cosmic Force .Red sabers usually used by Sith and other Dark Siders represent hatred, imbalance and bloodlust. Yellow sabers more rarely used by Dark Siders and also used by Jedi sentinels(Many of whom were later turned to the Dark Side as Inquisitors hunting their former Jedi comrades to extinction for Vader) represent fear and domination. Also, yellow sabers are somewhat more rarely used by Jedi who come from the Dark Side but choose the Light regardless.
