Thank you! I bought one off marketplace and it wasn't working because the previous owner had zealously cleaned it and, obviously, didn't know how to put it back together. Thanks to your video, it's working 100%!

Thanks for your help! My clippers were slightly different't they didn't have holes to feed the spring. Instead they had grooves to place them in. Saved me from buying a new pair of clippers!

Just curious, are you still running these same changes? Not sure what your rig set up is. What would you do different with a B550 5900X 3600Mhz RAM 3090ti and a 138Mhz (Gsync) monitor in 2024 with the NG update, and what would you recommend InGame FPS be set to?

Hi, I found another solution for the spring. You don't need to cut it or replace it. You just need a string and insert to the hole of spring then pull up, then insert the plastic. But thank you for this video. Its a big help how to put it back together.

Tried to do this but ended up breaking that little black plastic piece that the spring hooks into at 2:50. So be careful of that fellow viewers. My model was significantly harder to bend the spring in there, and even when bent into place it would keep popping out before I could put the spring in the two holes. So my blade was probably just warn out and toast .. although if I was a bit more gentle maybe it could have lasted slightly longer.

Similar problem here. Ten year old clippers, almost identical internals as this video (different brand). In my case the clippers started making a loud noise and would not cut. That's when I discovered (for the time) that the head comes apart. That tiny black part fell out; it had broken off. Ten years service is very good for low cost clippers, but with battery, charger and motor working well, seemed a waste to bin the lot for the sake of a tiny bit of plastic. I could not work out the function of the small plastic part, I suspected that it was only to limit the sideways motion of the moving blade. It did not look strong enough to anchor a spring. I superglued it back in, with the intention to strengthen the joint with epoxy resin. Then found this video to find that the clip is indeed to anchor the spring! The spring in my clippers is far too strong to be anchored by that weak clip; very surprised it lasted so long. Doubt that repairs will be adequate, so will need to buy new clippers.

@@SaxJockey I think you're spot on, maybe there's a way to do some "plastic soldering" to get some metal in there, but that was above my level of patience. I agree it's a surprising weak point
@SaxJockey5 ай бұрын
@@Var_ Funny you say that, I have just located (dug out from the garage) some aluminium tape. Will try to create a hybrid tape/epoxy brace above the clip. There is practically no space for any reinforcement, so it will be my vey last try before it gets binned 🤭. Not complaining of it's useful life, it far exceeded the guarantee period; but always a pity to throw items for the most trivial (yet pivotal) faults.

Omg thank god for this video. I couldn’t figure out what happened after I opened it to clean. The square middle part of the spring was not clipped under so it was just not cutting. Now it’s working perfectly thanks so much!
