My favorite album ever. Please talk about Scarface's "The Diary" you talked about the south arriving and showed OutKast but the south already arrived with Scarface and The Geto boys. The Diary is a classic and was the 3rd best hip hop album that year in my opinion behind "Illmatic" and "Ready to die". AND YOUR FROM HOUSTON !!!

What is t up for debate are a few things: 1. Illmatic is the greatest hip hop album ever made and nothing is even close given all We know ow and have experienced in the cultures 50 years. 2. More so still iLLmatic is by far hip hops most important and impactful album ever no album has changed the course of the music sonically lyrically and creatively more than iLLmatic 3.iLLmatic has birthed more artist/MC's than any album in the culture 4. Thriller may have been a bigger album commercially but iLLmatics impact and standing is far more implies t to the culture than thriller was and is to pop music

Damn near all the TEs played basketball what are these guys smoking?? There are more NFL players that can play basketball 100% bc they did in college…. These NBA dudes can’t come to the NBA and play full games. They can be gadget players but not many of them can be legit players. I know tons of football guys that can legit play ball. TEs WRs CBs… that’s your 4 and 5s and points right there that can play full minutes. Barely any NBA guys can make the full transition like NFL.

The Source didn’t just “give out 5 mics willy nilly” every album they gave it to absolutely deserved it. Illmatic getting 5 mics is such a big thing precisely because of those first few albums getting 5 mics. That’s what made it such a big thing because o ot albums like Lpw Wnd Theory and AmeriKKKas Most Wanted was getting THAT acclaim. Then after that they purposely didn’t give out 5 mics again until Aquemini so a lot of albums missed out all because they literally said “no more 5 mics”

Old heads don't like the fact that someone other than MJ is amazing. Allow the game to advance. Lebron has separated himself from MJ and everyone else historically. If we're talking rings Bill Russell is the goat. This is a stupid argument. You have to go back to 1989 to compare Lebron to Jordan. Two completely different players and styles.

Honestly I think the length of the album plays a big part in Illmatic’s greatness. With zero fat, nothing that you want to skip, when the album ends you’re left wanting more. Illmatic isn’t my favorite hip hop album (it’s close, but E.1999 Eternal takes that honor for me), but it is the greatest hip hop album IMO.

A CEO calling in a favor for his child at another company he's a great dad. Any other ethnic group can do it. LeBron does it for his son. Which no fucking one knows if he actually did it. People ate speculating that he is. That's his son and if he pull to open a door. Very little men would not do it.

When a Bama from Texas who cant even qualify to play in college and wears chain gang suits in public questions your intelligence you don't even bother to respond. Kyrie has been to the best schools on the East Coast ,his father graduated from Boston University, His Mom went to Boston University and his step Mom is a lawyer so you know he has been around high level thinkers all his life.

At the odd chance that someone reads these comments. It's me the Ann that left the Hanson voice mail a month ago. Well it turns out that Hanson played the half time show at game 5 of the OKC Dallas series. Most frustrating I was on my way to Tulsa and could have rerouted to OKC if anyone had told me that Hanson was playing that game. I'm not just a Hanson fan, I'm a Knicks fan and an NBA fan in general. Loved Westbrook in OKC and actually followed the team after discovering him during an OKC/Knicks Christmas Day game. So, yeah I guess my point is Hanson and the NBA cross paths and why didn't anyone tell me they were playing the halftime show on May 15?

This is why I can’t stand these basic “a b c… 1 2 3” rappers. They have dum dwn the listeners bc they are dense themselves. I remember this one rapper from the 90s talk about the importance of expanding vocabulary by studying the dictionary to better their rapping skills and valuing diff types of poems. Rl rap was always about how to play on words. That’s why as soon as mumble rappers become popular…I left rap alone. I knew it was apart of the destruction of hip hop.

This country is progressively dumbing itself down. Grown azz people are running around this country calling people 'haters' because someone simply has a different opinion, and 'trash' simply because a player doesn't perform well, or just don't like the player. I really wish those to terms could be removed/deleted/prohibited from the American lexicon. It's so juvenile, lazy, narcissistic, and disrespectful to use those terms in the contexts they're being used.

There are many players that were much better players than CC, and had rings to boot... The defining factor is that WHITES got behind her, and that's why viewership increased 'EXPONENTIALLY'; Denying that MAJOR factor in the equation has a strong scent of mendacity emanating from the airwaves. It's akin to pretending Trump created RACISM in this country... Personally, I was a high school statistician for the boys & girls 🏀 teams prior to the WNBA being formed; Our girls were the standard, and were much more often than not the prohibited favorites before games, tournaments, and Championships. That being said, since then, I've always championed Women's Basketball, and had wished the WNBA had existed way back then; and of course I've been following the WNBA since its inception. To that end, I'm grateful for the CC 'effect'. Thus, I'm not a ((hater)). God knows I despise that ((juvenile & lazy)) term. Whatever happened to 'agree to disagree',or simply having an opinion?
