@@cmetarheel Carolina wasn’t gone jump that deal they just traded for Johnson to be the #1. I’m willing to believe that was the best offer they got for him. Texans really only team with young Qb who were still looking for a wr to pair with. Titans got Ridley pittman in Indy giants don’t believe in surrounding they Qb with playmakers. Bears got Moore Allen chargers drafting high and are in cap hell. I just don’t see a team trading away a second rd pick for a 31 yr old besides Texans right now. New England possibly but they don’t even have a Qb or plan to compete and they in division

When the Browns brought in Odell Beckham to pair with his buddy Jarvis Landry, everyone was saying "wow, the Browns have one of the best group of receivers in the AFC now...", but he turned out to be a whiny diva... causing more INTs than TDs. When he got injured during the 2020 season, suddenly the offense improved and they won their first playoff game in years. Diggs sounds like a good idea, but the Texans better hope he and Stroud are on the same page otherwiise it'll set the young QB back.

@@triggv602 We'll see. I don't care that he's a diva, as most receivers are and kinda need to be. But not all diva behavior is equal. Diggs, through in game, post game, and off season behavior, along with social media commentary, gives off a "when we win it's because of me, when we lose it's because of them" attitude. That's not the same as say Devontae Adams, another WR who got a lot of diva flack and criticism last season, after saying winning isn't the only thing that matters. He explained that's because if the goal is to be the best team we can possibly be every time we take the field, then I have to be a big part of the offense, and wining alone doesn't excuse that. He is 100% correct. I could be wrong about Diggs. I don't know him personally, and the media twisted what Adams said, removing the context, to make him look bad, so that could be true of Diggs. That said, I've been watching NFL for 30 years and there is one thing I know for certain, and can't be twisted by the media. Teams DO NOT more or less give away a player as talented and productive on field as Diggs, especially skill position players. Bill are in win now mode and handed their best WR, one of the best in the league, to the Texans for virtually nothing. If it's revisionist history, and he's been unfairly portrayed, why?

brilliant point about the free agent signing... "you want this player more than the peeps who know more about him..." only modifier in this instance is the forex rate between the different teams. they may not want him more than Buffalo, but a dollar goes farther in Houston vs. Buffalo because of the team's salary cap, i.e. the comparative QB salary. so in a manner of speaking, they are essentially getting him cheaper. also, they want him more than Buffalo.

I actually don't necessarily like Diggs but I have been saying for years that Josh Allen is overhyped. Yes he has a big arm and makes some big plays but the dude is prone to REGULAR AND CRITICAL bone headed throws and INT's. He is basically a newer version of Jameis Winston (with some run ability) and we all know how Winston got crucified despite being known for the same thing; making every throw you want but somehow not having the decison making to go along with that ability. And to that end, I don't think Winston got the support or instruction he needed to prosper and move beyond his faults. He could have been much better than he has turned out. Clearly, though, Allen is getting that support so kudos and props to Buffalo for handling Allen better. However, just glossing over his tendencies and problems instead of addressing them is problematic and doesn't help his development either. Instead, they've got this dude walking around like he's on the same level as Mahomes, Jackson, and Rodgers (he isn't) and doesn't need to change. That's why we are still seeing these boneheaded mistakes of his 7-8 years into his career. T Look, those othwr great QB's I named have their flaws but they are minimal in comparison to what they do well but, put bluntly, Allen doesnt bring enough to the table for his flaws ro be brushed under the table. There is a reason WHY the Bills haven't gotten over the hump in all these years; because there is an Allen sized hill standing in the way. And if you don't believe that a QB can be both the reason why a team succeeds and the reason why they ultimately fail, look no further than Dallas ams Dak Prescott. And the way the Bills have handled the Diggs trade and exit is only going to cement Allen's belief that he isn't a problem or, more accurately, that his game isn't a problem. Ultimately I don't think the Bills crater without Diggs (Allen isn't trash after all) but I also dont see them having the success they had the past few years. A good QB can elevate the play of his receivers but a great receiver can likewise elevate his QB. I think it's fair to say that a little bit of both was going on with Diggs and Allen, however, Diggs went to a team with a QB that is probably just as good (or even better) than Allen so he'll likely still look good regardless of what happens in Houston whereas Allen has NO ONE on that roster that is remotely on Diggs' level. So, unless some major changes happen in Biffalo before or during the season, I think we'll find out pretty fast who was benefitting more from that pairing and my gut says it wasn't Diggs. Remember, Diggs had about as bad as a half season as a receiver could have and STILL cracked 1100 yards while having a reduced role and reduced targets in the offense. Will Allen still find similar success with a receiving corp that is bereft of the type of talent that Diggs had? My gut and my analytical mind say no.

If you thought the Texans were "sorry" even at 3-13-1, you showed that you didn't really watch the team because even in that year they lost 8 games by 1 score and took KC to overtime and DAL to the last drive of the game. They weren't winning, but they weren't "sorry".... Sorry is not being competitive at all... They always played hard just needed a more talented QB and better coaching to turn close games into wins.

Diggs is the first WR in history to carry an average QB/OL to elite offense 4 straight years. He must be the GOAT? Or WR is more important than QB and the Bears ought to pick Harrison. One of those two things must be true according to Bomoron.

To your last point about Diggs being a diva… remember, Houston has no guaranteed money in this after this year. If the guy becomes a cancer, move or cut him and you only lost a 2nd round pick. Not that that’s nothing but… it’s definitely worth rolling the dice on.

What pisses me off is that sports commentators and sport podcasters are preying on Diggs to being a Diva going into the Texans… he won’t be! Diggs is a very passionate football player and is in the pilot seat of his career. To me, the Bills should had moved on from Allen. Allen is no Mahomes and when he is down in a game he doesn’t have that come back and win the game skills… Allen has skills but not enough to take his team to the ship. Diggs has a problem with the offensive coaching staff. They began to hurt his career more than uplift it. We seen how his stats began to diminish at the end of the last season. He will go into his new team with the same passion. Diggs is a leader , a lover of his game, with a “he wants to be on a winning team, and a team that can accommodate his skill set”. The Bills needs to rebuild their team for the next 3 years… Diggs see that… they go be in a stationary position trying to build and piece a championship team together for years… Diggs made an amazing decision to leave and enter a great team. Cj and Diggs and the rest of their teammates are going to welcome each other and make take it all this upcoming season… the Chiefs will not make it this year, that script won’t be read this season… Chiefs will sit this season out of the championship that is. 🫡💚✨

Allen had 50+ TDs last year, smoked the MVP winner statistically by a mile, Diggs accounted for 8 of that and did nearly nothing the last half of the season. Allen will be fine. Diggs wanted out, he forced the issue, Bills got fair value for a 30 year old receiver in a market that apparently was dry. cant keep a guy like Diggs around if he wants out. addition by subraction. dont want a guy around who thinks hes bigger than the team and QB.

Diggs was targeted 644 times in 65 games w/the Bills... he was an integral piece to the offense... and thanks to Allen, made the Pro Bowl 4 years straight. He was also a major crybaby. The Bills are betting on a now 31 year old Diggs will be exposed as a very good slot receiver, but not a Mike Evans level number 1. He'll be surpassed by Nico Collins as a Texan... and what happens when the young Stroud and he have a miscommunication? When will sideline whining begin to grate on everyone's nerves? Like Odell, he thinks he's more important than he is.

Very disappointed in the Texans organization. This guy is the James Harden of the NFL, to the tee. He's an elite top tier player during the season, but a total diva that's never been happy with any team he's been on and complains. If he doesn't get enough targets. Then he completely disappears in the playoffs. Look up his record.
