I have only been riding gravel and trails so I'm not certain what it's top speed would be on the highway. I know another owner has had his to 75, but I'm not sure what the terrain and circumstances were.

In my opinion, yes! So far I have been really enjoying this bike. Zero complaints. I know there are a few minor assembly issues that they will hopefully iron out with the next batch of bikes. That being said, I'm having as much fun on this $2800 bike as I would be on a $6000 showroom bike.

@Lowspeedtraildad I usually ride a late model 300 2stroke but have similar thoughts when riding mild dualsport loops on the Templar X. The bikes really are quite good for their price point.

Hey brother, bout to head to Army basic training and recently got addicted to riding, need my first bike ASAP after training 😂 Im torn on getting a used big 4 brand bike or this, almost bought the templar x but for us bigger guys (6'2 230) this paladin seems perfect, if you can do a highway test and see the top speed (safely) i would appreciate and definitely update us on the reliability and also how the suspension handles your weight off jumps/curbs whatever.

Thanks for posting the content on this bike Andrew, I'm very interested in the bike but have my concerns about tuning the efi if its running lean, carburetors are so easy to adjust.

I completely understand, it's a bit of a risk with a new system. I'm sure more adept riders will learn how to flash the ecu at some point with different tunes. Keep an eye on the chinariders.net forum if you don't already. There are a bunch of mechanically minded individuals who tinker and figure that stuff out. So far, it's been a positive experience for me, but I will keep posting updates.

Is this a chinese bike? sound like it kinda.. im guessing around 30 horsepower? A basic 2-stroke 125cc motocrosser has usually around 39-44HP :D

@@Lowspeedtraildad oh ok thankls for the info. 33 aint bad at all :) And nooo im not trying to kill you but I think every human in the world shgould experience at least once how nice it feels when you accelerate with full power on a 40hp 2-stroke. it feels so good people used to just laugh uncontrollably when I took them for a ride and let her rip :D even compared to a inline 4 cylinder 600cc street rocket it feels so much more fun :)

@@Michael-s1b Right on. I'll keep updating on the bike. I typically avoid buying anything new without reviews, but I went ahead and took the chance on this. I wanted the extra seat height and power. So far it has been nothing but a positive experience ( aside from some minor assembly quirks).

The Templar X is not the same frame at all, they look similar but nothing will interchange between the two bikes(frame wise).

@@williamfoster4268 yes, after some digging the frames are different but they do appear to use the same suspension. My understanding is the new frame is a bit stiffer.

5’7” 160lb rider. I know it will be tall but Im still highly considering. What gear will it wheelie in? Does it want to come up in 2nd or 3rd gear just with power? I have the XPro 250 and it will only power wheelie in 1st so Im wondering if the upgrade is significant

@@SuburbanRedneck69 At this point in my life I'm a low speed trail dad and not a wheelie guy haha, but it does feel like it has plenty of power to pop up in 2nd and maybe 3rd. I had a csc tt250 before and the power difference is significant. (Granted I believe those are technically 230cc engines)

@ good to know. I also may buy it for commuting, my 250 (which is actually a 223cc) struggles on the highway. But being 160lbs I assume this bike will handle 75mph relatively easily

@@donengberg850 so far it has been an awesome bike. It's essentially a ktm frame with a kawasaki engine. I've put about 100mi on it riding gravel and trails. Has plenty of power. There is still a slight hesitation with power sometimes, but I need to change the stock plug and see if that fixes it. It's There are a few minor irritations with aligning the plastic when assembling. Overall it's a crazy good value at 2800$. Definitely join Chinariders.net if you haven't already. Some guys have had minor issues with their bikes and have documented fixes.

I have the Templar X 250. I've never gone on the freeway, just city and open desert, and 60mph is fine for me as my maximum comfort level on the street. At 5'8", I can very nearly flat foot it in my garage, but maneuvering on un-level ground makes it feel quite tall. I think the Paladin would go over my limit, if that perspective helps you at all.

@@billybrowning8030 I'm not a liar. However, I notice you say you previously owned this bike. I found some discrepancies in your comment. This is not a "carbonated" bike. It's EFI. It has 11:5:1 compression and is essentially a klx300 clone. I have enjoyed every bit of time on this so far. Sorry your carbonated bike let you down. Not all Chinese bikes are created equally.

Could you feel the heat coming off the cat on your right calf? Seat Concepts make a wider seat that'll fit the Paladin, it's about $350.

I had some jeans on today and the heat actually wasn't bad, but I was staying in motion. That being said, I do have some titanium wrap, and a heat shield I'm going to put on. I could see how it would be an issue in stop and go. Sweet thanks! I'm going to check out that seat concepts wider seat.

@@CjhEjdl I live in a humid area, exhaust wrap is not something I will do. I put a stainless steel heat shield over it but in the future I will modify the exhaust to remove it.

I think I'm actually going to leave the exhaust as-is. I may put a heat shield on it to prevent accidentally melting my leg on the cat, but the heat hasn't been an issue at all.

I got it registered/plated here in TN. Initially the county clerk wouldn't let me plate it because the MCO said "offroad motorcycle" on it. However, I called powersportsmax ( where I purchased it) and they sent an MCO that just said motorcycle. If you plan on registering this bike I would suggest asking for that on the MCO when you order it.

Congrats man. Both my Tacoma' s are over 200k. My daily drive 99 Tacoma prerunner TRD is ready to hit 240k with no check engine. My dad's 94 SR5 daily drive pickup has over 400k already. I'm waiting for mine to reach that far.

I got a 07' Tacoma sport crew cab 4x4. These trucks are the real deal with 270000 miles on mine it runs with the best of them & i still blow most of them off the road. My favorite ones to kill are the turbo diesel full size Chevrolet.. Ford.... Dodge.... LMAO I've beat them all

igitwams as far as routine oil changes ect I'm not sure. For other repairs maybe like 500 or so.
