I'm totally on board, but it's a pity the outfits make you think they're looking backwards to the days of roller blades. The ski industry does indeed need a kicking. At this rate it's demise even with such high prices in resorts .... as if global warming was not doing enough to make the seasons shorter. Operators are turning skiing into rich people sport again. On the way they're also preventing new entrants into the sport as younger people look at the prices and think "nah, I'll save my money for the summer".

Ok!... I need these! I've been wanting to get into skiing for a while, but it's so expensive it's intimidating. Not just the gear, but spending a day at the slopes is pricey as well. At least that's what I've been told! With this, It looks like I can skate at any hill and trail in my area without drifting too far from what I already do! Thanks for sharing this!
