Silicone will fuse with silicone. You can use the cookie cutters, just use tape on the bottom to form a barrier. I've made tons of molds, but was looking to see if anyone did real fruit

OMG, the berries look so good! I love the strawberry. Your mould really is tops! The colours you used and mixed were fantastic. Really loved this and glad I saw the one where you made the moulds. I am really dying to try it now!! Oh the crystal looked so real. I wanted that!

🤣😂 "Popping pimples!" LOL So interesting! I have watched about 35 of these so I can try to do it. I know to wax paper the tabletop, and to freeze the fruit before. But honestly, I think they came out pretty good. Keep the ruined rubber to fill your next trays and save mold mix. The strawberry was a good one. I hope you make a video of how they worked when using them. Do you use resin or soap/wax? I am doing a fake cake with berries, well I hope to. I ordered some fruit molds, I used polymer clay and they look horrid. The berries look like pin cushons and it was "professional" that I bought. So yours look better.

What do you do to stop the lights popping back out when waiting for resin to dry
@marialove4009 Жыл бұрын
I also have that problem I stayed up till 6in morning having to keep popping them down every 15mins till it dried then added another layer of resin on top

I lost my mother last year, so I know a little of what you’re going through. Remember that as long as you keep her in your heart she will never be far away. And tell someone a funny story about her, it helps soothe your soul and it’s a good thing to remember the fun times. Crafting, oddly enough, is an excellent thing to do at this time. Because the part of your brain that worries and stresses is occupied while you are crafting, you can’t do both at the same time. So while your crafting you will not be worrying and stressing about your loss, it really does help. Take care and stay safe!

Thank you so much for this kind message. I’m so sorry to hear about your mother too. This last year has been so hard for so many people but you are so right crafting helps so much & is good for the soul. 😊

Am I understanding correctly, you are using eatable icing & sprinkles with fake ice cream?
@VanessaMilesDesign2 жыл бұрын
Yes, it’s real icing & sprinkles. It’s fake ice cream cause it’s not iced but looks like it is. We use it for photo shoots & film sets where we need it to not melt under the hot hot lights & long hours on set. It’s not meant to be kept for more than a week.

Hi Vanessa, I’ve watched a lot of unboxing of the July Soffee and Toffee box , and I have to say yours is the best. The fairy door is so gorgeous and putting on that base was genius, the inclusion of the mushrooms 🍄 just made the piece. Oh and the butterfly 🦋 is so pretty. Congrats you are very talented.

U just got them all so PERFECT!! u must have experience with that!? Lol I'm pretty awful at it most times hahaha.. wow I rly need to try this they came out so GREAT!! tysm for following thru and showing us how they came out as castings!!

Omg!😅😂 It was like gouging out eyes with those berries!!🤣 So messy!! Hahaha but WOW I didn't even know u could mold fruits!!😳❤️ I guess I figured the moisture or sumthn would mess with curing!! How kewl!! Ty!

Yay! They came out so kewl!!😍 U really nailed the color for the aurora! Some of them look like the milky way and some like northern lights!! So so pretty!! Well done!

How kewl!! The pepper was brilliant! I think I've heard of ppl using some in clay before 🤔 but I've never tried it 😂 I think the pepper was better than using like a black glitter even, in this case, bc it makes it look more like stone, u know? Nice flat black specks instd of sparkles!

When u mentioned u did the elemental runes to me on IG I had to come watch! Fire is my element so I'm watching it first!!🥰 I think these came out awesome!! And yeah they're a LOT of work right? 😅😂 I did mine with epoxy 🤪 and mine are from a diff mold so they're thinner..🤔 so not sure I could do this with those ones.. but DEFINITELY wana try the cellophane with diff colors on a chunky piece! I've done the crushed velvet thing with the powders after cellophane bit never thought to do diff colors of resin and I LOVE the effect! Tysm for sharing this with us!!🥰😘
@VanessaMilesDesign3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for coming & watching! That means so much to me. I’m not very proud of the fire ones. It was my 1st time trying the cellophane technique. I messed up pretty bad but it was a good learning experience. My favorite was the night sky ones for air.

WOW, you nailed it with the water look! they really look like water but so magical too! and I think its good that you went with white, it adds to the water vibe. also those flakes on top are perfect!! they almost make it look like the way the ocean sparkles when sunshine reflects off of it. I also really liked how you talked about not giving up and how youre gonna improve over time. sometimes when a project doesnt turn out the way you want it to you really feel like you suck, but its so important to remember that we are always learning (also, I thought your shakers were super cute!)

@VanessaMilesDesign3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment 😊 I have another video where I show how to make the ice cream part. I make these for commercials & film shoots but they are not meant to last longer than a week. If you are looking for a video on how to make ones for home decor I wold recommend The Pink Tree. She has lots of great fake food decor ideas that would last a long time. I think she uses plaster.
