Moldmaking with Real Fruits

In an attempt to start making my own fake fruit for food styling and props I thought I'd experiment some more with moldmaking. This time I gathered some pretty examples of fresh fruit and set about to pour me some new molds with varying levels of success.

🤣😂 "Popping pimples!" LOL So interesting! I have watched about 35 of these so I can try to do it. I know to wax paper the tabletop, and to freeze the fruit before. But honestly, I think they came out pretty good. Keep the ruined rubber to fill your next trays and save mold mix. The strawberry was a good one. I hope you make a video of how they worked when using them. Do you use resin or soap/wax? I am doing a fake cake with berries, well I hope to. I ordered some fruit molds, I used polymer clay and they look horrid. The berries look like pin cushons and it was "professional" that I bought. So yours look better.

Thanks! They look horrible but actually make pretty realistic looking resin fruit.

Omg!😅😂 It was like gouging out eyes with those berries!!🤣 So messy!! Hahaha but WOW I didn't even know u could mold fruits!!😳❤️ I guess I figured the moisture or sumthn would mess with curing!! How kewl!! Ty!
