John Curry is one of my favorite skaters. He delivered one the best Olympic Gold medal-winning performances in history. The show-tune choreography I think better suits a skater like Robin Cousins, Kurt Browning, or Scott Hamiton. However, any newly posted footage of John is so much appreciated. The Bluebird choreography, on the other hand, is perfect for you.

So much of the artistry in skating these days seems to have been superceded by the athleticism - ie the bigger the jumps are, the better. It was a joy watching this performance, especially that fully stretched, deep arabesque spiral. Thank you so much for posting this. I also recommend that anyone who enjoyed this watch Katherine's video skating to Casta Diva - it is simply gorgeous.

So glad you are posting all these Treats from the past. Excelling at both Ballet and Figure Skating is so rare, but I "get it" , cuz I'm in love with both too. I used to ice skate in NYC (coached by Darlene) - and clearly remember how high and powerful and beautiful your jumps were. You had an incredible "style" like no other, as well! I was lucky enough to dance in the corp watching Marin and his beautiful wife Debra …. Didn’t he partner you in some of your competitions ? That is the slowest plum music … you are so strong ❤❤❤ I will watch all you posts as I am enjoying them

Congratulations! It looks like you had good parents and wealthy enough to put you in such good places to train. Marin Boeru on the other hand, was blessed to learn ballet for free in a Vaganova Methodology based school in Romania. I was also blessed to be trained with the same teacher Marian was in Romania. He was an amazing dancer and I am happy to see you both here!

I remember her when I skated at Skye Rink in New York City. Her figure skating really stood out, amongst many talented skaters there. She's always been one of my faves, both in Ballet & Figure Skating, having such a unique and exquisite style. I hope she is doing well! - Lynda
