How are these holding up? I'm debating if it's worth it for the gt ($50)

They held up pretty well. They give you a bit of a softer ride too. I thought the pads were worth the money.

Hey buddy a super pro tip for doing body varials is to turn your hips BEFORE you ever jump. The way you're doing is can be disorienting at times, especially if you do multiple in a row. Basically you want to turn the top half of your body to where you're facing forward so that when you jump you only have to turn your hips and legs. It is so much easier and looks super clean.

@NicholasWheeltalk3 жыл бұрын
Super easy....Im in the process of sanding them down to get rid of the factory blue. These side kicks come from Float-supply.com. They peel right off when their used up or you want a different look. This onewheel has close to 3000 miles on it now. Buy form a local supplier in your area. 😉

I got my first point last Monday. Already at 120 miles. 25 miles yesterday. I talked my wife into getting another one for our son. It's ordered and hopefully ships tomorrow. I'm snowboarder since the eighties... And skating. Been wanting a wheel since I heard of them 4 or 5 years ago... Now I'll have 2!! Words I could have got XR but 2 for the price of one, you know. Pint is nice.

Fantastic parenting here, more worried about advertising your youtube channel to a bunch of minimum wage employees (I'm sure the room service really appreciated the $5 tip after seeing what a mess the room was when you left) than you are the safety of your own kid. Riding around the hotel with your one wheel with your kid in cart, or in hand is such an irresponsible thing to do. I'd hate to see what you do off camera.

Your right Its not good for the battery but that's the sacrifice We have to take to extend the range on a plus.🤷♂️ When your OW battery completely dies your able to power the board from the Ego battery alone. Thanks for watching. I wish you well.

Ive watched a couple of your videos. I like them, you give more info on stance than others. But I am old, near 60 dont know what "getting light" means. Help an old man out talk to me like Im your grandfather! I have a Pint and an XR. XR is now my grocery getter.
@NicholasWheeltalk4 жыл бұрын
No worries brother. It's my pleasure to share the stoke. What I mean by get light is to almost jump off the board before right before I roll over a bump. I weight around 280lbs when I'm geared up so I try to lighten the load so the OW motor doesn't have as much strain. It allows me to maneuver big tree roots and even smaller curbs. If you have any questions LMK
@NicholasWheeltalk4 жыл бұрын
Lol the XR is definitely the coolest grocery getter.

How do you feel about Onewheel actually being illegal outside a private property? I'm wondering cuz I'm definitely gonna get one (the law be dammed) and are wondering how likely it is for you to be pulled over / getting a ticket etc. Or am I just being paranoid? I'm from Sweden where the laws are quite lenient though. 😅
@NicholasWheeltalk4 жыл бұрын
In MN its perfectly legal transportation. I love everything about Onewheel! I pray they don't lump us into the scooter category. Onewheel owners are mostly responsible and these machines have so much technology that puts them in a different category then scooter riders. I had permission to make this video as well as ride my OW in the hotel after I gave the bell hops a demonstration of how well they work. I've had no issues riding in any state in the USA. I travel with my plus and have riden my wheel in 8 or 9 states with no issues. I hope that helps you out. I appreciate you checking out my channel. If you have any other questions let me know🤙🏼

Why only one fender on? Snow is getting on the front.
@crossphone14 жыл бұрын
Did you do anything special to the board for the snow to keep it waterproof?
@NicholasWheeltalk4 жыл бұрын
I waterproofed it with a $10 tube of flex seal. I'm going to release a video on how I did it. I didn't void the warranty and that's the only reason I never badgered my OW.🔥 If you badger kit you OW I believe it will void your warranty. I have 1400 miles on my XR now but when I made this video I only had 500 ish miles.🤷🏼♂️ I hope that helps. I appreciate you checking out my Vids.🤙🏼

Where do you look in order to know that you running low and need to charge? with the parallel kit can you just swap an Ego when you are running low or do you try to charge the batteries together? I just got a VnR kit for my plus and looking to learn more before i do anything with mine. Thank you
@cubiq14 жыл бұрын
Great video. Is the split fender able to hold the weight of the 7.5Ah EGO without flexing/breaking?
@NicholasWheeltalk4 жыл бұрын
Yes with out flexing but it's very hard on the screw holes... I ended up stopping them out which was actually better. I went to Lowes and bough machine screws and wing nuts. I flipped the screws upside down through the hole and use the wing nuts as a quick release. $4 conversion. The 7.5 is heavy so my sensor thinks my back foot is alway on which is NBD.

Thanks for watching. Please subscribe if you would he so kind.😃🤙🏼

Any issues with the OW getting wet or salt inside?
@samhagen89244 жыл бұрын
Did it get resolved?
@NicholasWheeltalk4 жыл бұрын
Yes and no because I Future Motion (FM) was kind and explained I would have to mail the entire board to them for them to evaluate it. 🤦🏻♂️ I didn't want to be with out my board for a any period of time. I got my board in late June and by July I decided I couldn't live with out it. When I realized there was a foot pad issue I contacted FM. I eventually replaced the grip tape (it's in another video) which voided the warranty on the foot pad sensor. 🤷♂️ I had learned to deal with it. If I sent my OW back they would have replaced it under warranty. I later replaced my footpad with a brand new one from FM and have had no issue.
