The supposedly ultra-thin iPhone 17 "Air" is stupid. A decade ago, I was working in China (2013-15), and Oppo had a 5.0mm thin 5.5 in. long phone with a rotatable camera module at the top. Flimsy and fragile. Count me skeptical that Apple's version will succeed. Something is wrong with you if you believe there's any "need" for a phone thinner than 8mm or so. Ditto flip phones, whose displays will always be compromised.

Simple! Apple could give their consumers what would be extremely desirable. (1). A laptop with a removable keyboard so it also doubles as a tablet... OR (2). Bring out an iPad Pro that can run the full Mac OS and fully fledged software we run on our Macs!

Coke Zero. Great video. I have the 15 Pro Max and will have to stay with it for a couple more years to get the Bang/Buck. Maybe 18 or 19. I do plan on getting an M4 iPad Pro very soon and excited… upgrading from a regular 2020 iPad.

Storage can be updated (if Apple or a third party create the ssd drives, they are plugged, not embeded, and accesible. The RAM is embedded. I think is smarter add more RAM than storage in the initial setup.

RAM is more critical for the mac performance, and for multiple browsers opened, cloud, cloud apps, and multitask. If RAM is exhausted the Mac will use storage for swap files.

PLs i have a question , this Orico enclosure can put it self to sleep , if not in use , my question is will this be wise to use as my external main storage driver for my mac mini m4 with 256GB because am worried it might put it self to sleep and may cause the system to crash , help pls , thanks

Apple's next step should be gaming. On PC's side it is a mess now a days, games are not optimized..even a 4090 cannot run all AAA @4k @ 100+ fps. Waiting for cyberpunk 2077 mac native ..others will follow

I am very interested in the new 6K LG 32 inch screen. Likely very pricey but will undercut anything Apple does. Curious to see if Apple upgrades its monitors this year; they are overdue for a refresh.

i have been reading that ipads and iphones should be purchased NEW every 5 years so as to be FULLY protected? Otherwise, 5 years and older models will not be able to support the most current ios and "security patches" really don't protect all that well. is this true???

With the large apps or libraries on an external drive the mac should work better than with one larger internal as processor cores can access two different sets of data at the same time.

Good to watch again, thanks Craig for all the info. Coke vs Pepsi: don't care, only use it on long outback drives as a coffein kick. Monitor: still waiting for the new BenQ PD2730s. MacBook screen cleaner: Did not have to use one yet but I think you should be able to use a cleaning wipe they sell for spectacles or expensive camera lenses, after all they also have special coatings applied. I don't hate the notch per say, even though it's just stupid in this day and age, but I hate that we need to have the menu there all the time to make sense for the space, like it's the 90s. And the fact, that the Dock + upper bar takes up more space and doesn't work as stupid windows taskbar like from 90s is just hilarious and sad.

Hey, for the calculator app window size, maybe try Better Display! It allows you to adjust scaling without messing up font clarity and stuff like that. A bootleg solution, but it might work.

I received my new Samsung 990 EVO Plus in 4 TB size yesterday along with my OWC Express 1M2 enclosure. $269.99 for the 4 TB 990 EVO Plus on Amazon, and $119.99 for the OWC 1M2 enclosure. The Samsung site had the same price on the EVO Plus as Amazon had. The results: 3145 MB/s writes and 3082 MB/s reads when connected to my M4 MacBook Pro. The M4 MacBook Pro itself has 3007 MB/s writes and 2910 MB/s reads on it's internal 1TB drive. Thanks for the suggestion to to the EVO Plus drive, and I look forward to a standalone review of the OWC 1M2 enclosure if you get to it Craig.
