They do look very nice but they are uncomfortable to ride, thanks to the bright lighting and uncomfortable seats. And they can be really loud, many people have been annoyed by this

Omg bei 6.27 ist ein So19 hahaha Ich haette nie gedacht, mal eins zu sehen. (bin DS Tf) Edit: Ok ich muss echt mal sagen, dass scheint im Osten ja echt öfter vorzukommen als ich dachte. Mein Dozent, der frühe viele Güterzüge im DV Bereich gefahren hat, meinte er hat das So19 fast nie gesehen. Und ich finds ja total cool, dass sogar da noch HL-Signale stehen. Lernen musste ich Sie zwar auch aber ich denke nicht, dass ich in naher Zukunft mal welche Live erleben darf. Wobei ich die ja echt toll finde... Sie geben einem soviele Informationen :D

Diese quer zur Fahrtrichtung befindlichen Sitze der M8D finde ich nicht so gut, da immer wieder Fahrgäste vorbeigehen und man so seine (langen) Beine nicht gut ausstrecken kann. Die in Fahrtrichtung befindlichen Sitze finde ich besser. Und: die GTZ8-B Vamos-Wagen haben ein freundlichen "Gesicht".

The branch line is only 1.3km in length and is very steeply graded. The Class 139 units are powered by a heavy flywheel which is spun up as the unit descends towards Stourbridge Town, absorbing the energy of the braking system. On the return journey the stored energy is used to climb back up to Stourbridge Junction. At the beginning of each working day and whenever needed a small LPG-powered engine adds to the angular momentum of the flywheel to compensate for friction losses. The branch has no signalling and operates under the "one train in operation" method. The unit is effectively trapped on the branch line and no other can join it as the token carried in the cab also forms the key that is needed to unlock the points that allow access to and from the main line at Stourbridge Junction. The journey time is 3 minutes and with a 2 minute wait at each end the service frequency is every 10 minutes. Three Class 139 units were built; numbers 139 001 and 139 002 are the main and maintenance spare for the branch and 139 012 is the prototype and proof of concept. They were built by a small engineering company called Parry People Movers who had hopes of providing other units for other routes but failed to get the necessary contracts and went into liquidation in 2023 following the death of the company's founder, John Parry.

S-Bahn is one of the reasons why i want to visit berlin. Because it looks cool. In Ostrava we have Esko (czech name for s bahn), but it's a bit boring.
