Spent hours a day for months working to get on my high school volleyball team. I got cut after the second round of tryouts, while others who barely put in much work got on because of their tall height. I was upset indeed. On top of that, a lot of my friends got on and I felt so left out in the process. There was a period of time after I cut which I shut myself away from the sport because it just hurt so damn much. But I wasn’t gonna let one cut ruin such a cool sport. I only let that anger make me practice harder. You fall down, you pick yourself up. Keep trying and never give up folks. Everything you need is inside you.

I had 3 days of try outs and I just found out I didn’t make it. And it’s my first time playing competitively (I’m in freshmen year rn) and I improved a lot over three days and learned how to get a good serve and make it over the net. I thought they’d want someone that learns fast but I guess not. I tried and even hurt my wrist but still kept going. I cried for 30 minutes and I ate ice cream. Trust me it hurts like hell and I feel like shit. But it’ll be okay. I’ll just join a volleyball club - two small steps are sometimes better than one big giant leap - this fortune cookie lol 🥲

I tryed out for my high school dance team since i have been in cheer for a while and wanted to try something different, so i had try outs and i did them with my friend and i thought i did well enough to possibly make it, i waited until the day they said the team and i saw me and one other number didnt make it. I was upset and completly having a breakdown after seeing that. i realized that my friend that i tryed out with made the team and my stomach dropped at the moment. of cource I was happy for her but i was still jealous and i just wanted to die at that moment. as of now a couple weeks after i found out I still think about it and when i do it consumes me and i feel exacly how i did when i saw the list of girls that made it. if you tryed out and didnt make it please do not be like me lol, so try to keep your mind off of it and dont stalk the teams instagram like I did becuase it will make it worse for me atleast, so try to stay positive and hey, atleast you tryed out and did your best and in life thats all you can do. <3

My friend is going to train me tomorrow! But for when I can't practice with her, I use a stick and paper ball I have!

I didn't make the volleyball team this Sophomore year, but that's actually understandable since I'm quite new to volleyball. I want to practice throughout the year to get better and the coach is giving me locations for lessons and come back next year stronger. I made it Freshmen and I'm at least happy to made the team + experience games. I'm just glad my coach recognized my hard work during tryouts. It's just there were so many girls who were trying out and half of my friends were cut. :)

Shit I got 1 from the cut off for my JV golf and I have been playing for only 2 yrs but it sucks cuz now I gotta focus on my studies but the thing that makes me feel good is that fact that the coach and I know that I will definitely be able to make it by next year 😅😮‍💨

I play for a really good travel lacrosse team...or at least played. I loved playing for that team so much and I played for a year and during tryouts for the 2nd year I thought I did super well and I was very confident I was gonna make the team...it's been more than a week and I haven't heard anything. I know for a fact I didn't make the team because we were supposed to know a couple days after tryouts not a WEEK! I'm super sad...it sucks im really heartbroken right now. I thought about trying to tryout for other teams but it's too late now. Everyone already had tryouts. I'm so upset and ik its not official that I'm off the team but I know I'm definitely not on. Anyways sorry this is long props to anyone who actually read this.
