Why did Jesus want us to remember him by eating his body and drinking his blood? Now THAT’s weird when you think about it on face value. How about sacrificing your own children? (Abraham and Isaac). How about committing adultery and then having a temple made for you? I find it hard that the church moralises about how people manage human remains when so much of the theology is twisted.

It's great to think we could say goodbye through a funeral or memorial service, except for various reasons for some, covid for our family, we were not able to say goodbye. We weren't even allowed in the hospital let alone have a gathering.

Even in death the church telling us how to rest in peace . When I die I want to be cremated and remaining bones I want them to be placed inside maracas and passed around to all my loved ones . What if your loved one died in a fire,lost @ sea,car off road into a lake never found,etc is your loved one truly @ rest?...do they ascend to heaven if they were a true believer....what if your loved one wanted to be buried @ a cemetery but family against their wishes cremates them separating ashes amongst family members....point is if your loved one is a child of Christ they WILL go to heaven regardless....these 2 men in this video are basically giving their own opinions on the matter...hate to be cynical but how much does that stone ✝️ from the holy land cost....how about the burial @ the cemetery....

The problem is, you may want them close but when you pass children and grandchildren don’t typically want them. Please lay cremated remains to rest. Not in the back of a closet or in the basement.

My late husband has a daughter that is close to my age. She tried to prevent me from even having a part in laying him to rest, much less would she allow for me to keep all of the ashes. He left me financially on empty and I had no means to pay for his cremation. So she paid for the cremation but kept a small portion. I let his ashes set in the church for just over a year & am finally ready to spread the ashes. But he won’t be “all together “ as it were. I just have no control over that. She’s already spread her portion and I don’t want to keep the rest in my home. What a mess 😣 … all I can do is spread them where I can and trust God with what happens after that

My grandfather died and was cremated back in 2003. His ashes were brought back to my family's home, and ever since then ive felt an uneasy feeling anytime ive been there - which is now seldom.

Watching an estate liquidation documentary, I saw a worker flush an urn full of ashes down the toilet in a New York town house. The widow had passed away, and they found the urn floating around in the home's inventory. As a Christian, it was rather shocking to watch. As an Episcopalian I was taught that human remains are sacred - and that Christians should be buried together: to await the general bodily Ressurection. Not be made into tacky knick knacks to be worn around the neck or placed on a keychain. Our downtown church has a collumbarium in a small garden. There, we can pray for and remember our brothers and sisters who have passed.

One day everyone on this planet will have to get cremated as ground is running out. Water cremation is another gd option if available.

What happens to the tombstones and ashes to those who decided to be kept at a cemetery 100-150 years from now? How do cemeteries have enough space of decades and centuries of bodies. Do they dispose of them after a number of years? I never understood how that work. And why is so expensive??

I was watching the news when the Katrina was going on in Louisiana, after the 4 or 5 days of this hurricane, there were over three thousand bodies floating out of their caskets. This is why I cremated my husband because if there's a hurricane I don't want to see his body floating around and this is what I'm deciding to get cremated because I don't want to be floating either.

Yes, when someone dies, people (AUTOMATICALLY) tend to say they've "gone to Heaven" or their soul is "with God" or has "joined the Creator". Problem is: no one KNOWS but God.
