Happy to see the shift in positivity on this channel. The PSVR2 is a fantastic system and whether Sony PlayStation 1st party directly supports it or not, it is very well supported by the 3rd party / indie developers interested in making high quality VR games.

2024 was never my concern and the lack of 1st party support should be called out at every opportunity to put pressure on Sony. If you care about getting a PSVR3 one day then you should care how well the PSVR2 is selling and Sony have IP and talent that can move headsets. Having said that, they impressed me at the last state of play and if they're funding Hitman WoA then I'd count that as support and it's to be commended.

@@PetrifyingPumpkins I knew things would get better after Jim Ryan stepped down and had replacements appointed. I think it is better to invest in blue ocean strategies (like growing VR) than investing in red ocean strategies (like live-service). I don't think 2025 will be as good for VR as 2024 but it will still be good.

So glad the Quest 3s just dropped. Wut? No I'm not getting one! But this will help move a lot of the Quest 2 user base onto the Quest 3 platform. Soon, devs will stop dumbing down their games for Quest 2. Will still get dumbed down for Q3, but hey, it's a step forward.

How can you not understand that? Sony is a huge company and there's loads of Sony companies that have nothing to do with playstation? .....do you think Sony music has anything to do with playstation? If ypur not sure I'll tell you it doesn't at all ,and even in Sony music there's loads of record companies that are Sony (but not called sony) and again there totally separate companies

100% agreed. Sony Entertainment Group should have used the money to approached Flat 2 VR studios with an offer to port Starship Troopers: Extermination into VR instead! PSVR2 should be all about hybrid games from it's extensive PS5 and PS4 games first and third party collection!!!!

A game from 7 years ago on the base PS4, which is 10 times weaker than PS5, looks 10 times better than a game that is coming out this year. I won't spend even a dollar on such a game and I won't support such cheap projects. They thought the Starship Troopers movie brand would sell the game and they could do shit. I don't wish anything bad on anyone, especially VR devs, but is anyone really surprised that they're closing down this studio? It's sad that Sony advertises such crap for PSVR2. You can see that many people in high positions there have no idea about games.

The studio behind this game just announced today they were laying off 72 of the 86 people on staff. Hitman killed them and this game is tarnished before release because of it. Such a shame.

As someone who has only heard about the horrible state of the Starship 💩ers game and not bothered to look for confirmation [as I ‘trust’ “the 🎃 patch” and their opinions], this video raises some interesting points of how SONY is (has been) and will probably continue to treat VR; but sadly it’s not exclusive treatment, since they have not treated their main player base (the Flatties) so kindly either. Where are the 1st party games this generation and what have the main studios under SONYs umbrella been doing for the last 5-ish years.? 🤷♂️ [Great Video as usual and keep up the 💦💦💦💦 work! Hope Ye get the PC sorted]

What're you talking about Donnie?! They've released TONS of PS5 games! There's, umm... the Demon's Souls Remake, and The Last Of Us 1 Remake, and The Last Of Us 2 Remake, and... uh... The Horizon Zero Dawn Remake that's coming out soon! And let's not forget about other great third-party games like the Final Fantasy 7 Remake (parts 1 and 2 so far!), and the Resident Evil 4 Remake, and... uh... well that's a lot, right? 🤣
