Perfect! Thank you so much. This is exactly what I was looking for. I was having trouble with bending my wire around each other to connect and creating weak spots in the copper wire I was using. It would eventually break with stress on the manipulated wire parts. I've switched to stainless steel wire and excited to try your technique with tape and the invisible closure!

@MyHobbyisCrochetBlog21 күн бұрын
You're very welcome! You will count the same, 2 sc stitches and 2 rows for each pixel in the graph. So one pixel will be made of 4 sc stitches, 2 in the lenght and 2 in the height.

Hi I have one question the pattern I’m using has an even amount of stitches ,do I still need to add two extra stitches?
@MyHobbyisCrochetBlog22 күн бұрын
Hi, you mean the pattern has an even number of pixels in the row. Yes, you will double the pixels and add 2 stitches more: one for the turning chain and one needed at the end of the row to complete the pattern repeat. ( You need an uneven number of total stitches for the pattern repeat.)

About 200 yards of yarn. A skein of Caron Simply Soft has 315 yards, so you will have plenty left over yarn from one skein.

You can see in the graph. The corner diagonal row, right in the middle of the square is the last one with increases. The next row you start decreasing on each end.

Idk if you’ll be able to answer or if anyone in the comments can answer but I’m using this technique just on a different design and I have an even amount of stitches so when I started the second row you said that you start with a single crochet and end with a single crochet but I keep starting with a single crochet and end up with a bobble stitch. Will it affect the design???
@MyHobbyisCrochetBlog2 ай бұрын
You need to start with an uneven number of sts, you need that extra st at the end of the row, so you can start and end the row with sc. It will not work other way.

I really like your design. Your instructions are clear and easy to follow. Thank you for this tutorial video!! I'm new to tapestry crochet so I have a question. Why have different bobbins of the same color? Couldn't you use the bobbin you used the first time?
@MyHobbyisCrochetBlog4 ай бұрын
Hi, it is cleaner this way and the next row you will need the yarn strand in the same place. So it is not worth it to carry it and work over it. It also saves yarn this way. This is not a clasic tapestry crochet, you don't work over the yarn strands... maybe do so when you only have a few stitches in between the color changes.

Only thing I am not understanding is why are you doubling the row count
@MyHobbyisCrochetBlog4 ай бұрын
Because One Bobble will be actually worked in 2 rows with 2 sts in each row; that means each bobble is made of 4 sts: In the first row: you’ll work 1 sc crochet in each of next 2 sts In the 2nd.row: work 1 bobble sc st in next st, then 1 sc in next st
@jasminejones13824 ай бұрын
Can this technique be used on any pattern
@MyHobbyisCrochetBlog4 ай бұрын
It could be used for any graph, but it's best for smaller project such as pillows, wall hangers because the stitches produce a heavier, dense project.
